He lacks professionalism and seems as if just likes to intimidate and harass the other party. I'm glad my case went well, but he was saying some things that were not 100% true on the stand under oath. Im not sure if i would ever work with him again.

I had him for a case a few years back and the way he handles cases and deals with the opposing side is very sketchy. i was scared the whole time that the opposing side would point out his illegal wrongdoings and I would lose my case (however that did not have an attorney and seemed bullied by him). As much as I love an aggressive lawyer, he is not trustworthy. He should not be able to practice law, he is not an honest lawyer.

I was referred to Ed Koons and consulted him regarding a matter of property. He never once mentioned price of the consult in any emails or via phone conversations. However he did say I have a case and he did mention a set price roughly $1300 to move forward with my case. I told him I would be deploying out of country and would have to wait until I got back. While deployed I received numerous bills of $225 for the consult (which he never once mentioned before). I called his office in attempts to have that fee removed and proceed with the case which would cost roughly $1300. However his office was determined that I owed $225 for the consult and the bill would stand, telling me it was a “verbal contract” (I did not know there were such things as verbal contracts in the matters of law) May I say again, *There was never any mention of a consult fee at all!* Sorry Mr. Koons but you just lost $1300 because you wanted $200. ***Any one consulting this office, get all the charges in writing, or you may end up getting unexpected bills from this Firm***

Ed is a very powerful force to have behind you while negotiating through the legal jungle. Whoever said that Ed couldn't communicate never learned that taking time to think while not running your mouth is a sign of an extremely intelligent person. I find it very helpful to take time to think while having an in-depth conversation. This is a fantastic strength. Ed was extremely helpful in cleaning up title issues on real estate when by brother died. I am again having him represent my wife and I on another complicated issue involving real estate title issues.

Mr. Koons has a difficult time communicating. His inability to speak concisely will likely cause issues and his fear of using specific terms will limit your ability to speak to him freely. It's odd that a lawyer is unable to speak clearly so be prepared for silence while he is framing up his next sentence as opposed to speaking fluidly. Unfortunately he is the epitome of a lawyer so proceed with caution. I don't recommend using Ed.

On an urgent matter of probate and my late father's Lake Tahoe House being foreclosed upon and title stolen without ethical notice or cooperation from the Servicer or the bank I worked for over the last twelve years, I engaged Ed Koon's after the redemption period ended and foreclosure was imminent.
The law office met with me on less than 24 hours notice, worked four hours in my presence to prepare petitions that were successfully filed and granted.
Ed Koons and his staff are, and have been exceptionally responsive and authentically compassionate, and I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
A substantial thank you is in order!

We used Ed Coons when we needed to take conservatorship of our mother. Our sister tried to change our mothers trust against the wishes of our mother, who was still alive. We were forced to go to court several times while our mother was dying of brain cancer. Our sister lost every time she took us to court thanks to the knowledge and great advice of Mr Koons. He was a great help to us in a very trying time.
