Robin warmed up to our child and they really bonded while taking walks around Robins office while they spoke with each other. I appreciate that Robin does her hardest to make sure our child follows court orders while Robin still allows the child to speak up and communicate their concerns to both Robin and the court.

Robin Birnbaum was appointed as a minor’s counsel to my children. Having no psychological insight and no knowledge of post-separation abuse cycles, she totally overlooked my case which resulted in no vacations or holidays or even Mother’s Day with my children. She only listened to one party, ignored letters from DV experts sent to the court and allowed the father to have total control over the children, and, through them, over the mother, exactly what he wanted from the start. Not advocating for the children to have even Mother’s Day with their mother severely undermines the role of a woman and a mother in the society and allows abuse to continue.

I had a very complicated case with my ex wife and Robin as well as staff answered all my questions plus went above and beyond their duty. The other party had many issues with fraud domestic violence and other problems Robin Birnbaum had me document and prove during my case. Price was fair especially for the complexity of my situation. I would definitely recommend this lawyer to my friends and family. She’ll go to bat for you and explains everything clearly so you comprehend it.

This attorney served as a "minor's counsel" to my two children, committing fraud, per California Rule of court Rule 5.240, "If there are two or more children, any child would require separate counsel to avoid a conflict of interest." The Minor's counsel ignored any evidence, urged me to agree to everything my spouse asked (forcing me to lose my home, my pension plan and my children), ignored judge's orders to visit homes to observe living situations, only met with children's father and not with me, children's mother, and didn't secure for the children neither Mother's Day with their mother, nor any vacation time. Domestic Violence was completely ignored and 'safely forgotten' by this professional, who didn't forget to bill outrageous fees for her disastrous service. At the end, Ms. Birnbaum billed everything to the State of California and resigned from the case. The mother lost custody as a result of Birnbaum's un-professionalism, conflict of interest, and total misogyny. The father now uses the children as a way to control the mother and still doesn't grant her divorce under various excuses, keeping her a prisoner of his whims. UPDATE: upon learning about this review, Ms Birnbaum put tremendous pressure on me to remove it, by copying her request to an adversarial party and his lawyer, causing me great distress by informing the adversarial party about my actions. This behaviour alone is highly questionable and unethical.

Robin helped my brother in a very difficult custody battle last October and really went above and beyond. Very communicative, warm, pragmatic, determined, and absolutely professional.
