After 3 years working on my case and constant extensions, I informed Ms. Marino about my intention to add a second attorney to the case. Nina became very irate, and she immediately submitted documents to the Federal Court requesting withdrawal. At the hearing, she asked the judge to have a private meeting with her regarding her request and had everyone thrown out of court. After 20 minutes waiting outside the court room, we were allowed back in, and the judge allowed her request for withdrawal. To this day I have no idea what she told the judge in the closed session to get approval to withdraw as my attorney after I had paid her in full over two hundred thousand dollars. The client has every right to have multiple attorneys and her actions were very unprofessional.

My wife and I were indicted in an international white-collar crime in which the losses were in the multiple million dollars, and each of us were facing several charges which could have resulted in jail time of over 150 years if served consecutively. While in custody it would have taken our family back home several weeks to gather this bail bond, instead Nina Marino paid it on our behalf through her firm, and we were released the same day. Now you tell me, which lawyer would do this gesture for you? No one. Of course, we paid her back after our return back home in a very timely fashion, but that is not the point. Remember, I said earlier she has your back. She definitely does. Our case lasted almost 5 years. From day one until the last day, Nina Marino answered our emails and phone calls immediately. Given her amazing reputation, we can only imagine how many multiple cases and clients she has at the same time, but at no point we felt neglected for a second. I came to Nina in a very scary and horrible situation. I was involved in a complex federal fraud case. Nina calmed me down and told me "we would get through this together", And we did! I am happy to say that Nina Marino reached a positive outcome for my case. She did exactly what she said she would. She had fair billings. I believe I was the only person on an indictment with 50+ people not to be sentenced to prison. There is no doubt in my mind had Nina not been my attorney I would be sitting in prison at this very moment with many years to go. Everything throughout the last 4 years couldn't have gone any better. The only drawback to my case ending is not talking to Nina as often. I was referred to Nina for my case as I was involved in a bank fraud scheme that involved multiple groups of people. What Nina did for me was incredible as she was able to take my charges down to the lowest denominator possible for this type of charge. She worked and negotiated with the government to allow me to walk away during the sentencing with just a $100 court charge with no probation or any prison time. This is unheard of given my charges!!! She also negotiated with the government to lessen the charges to one charge which was the best possible outcome under my circumstances. Nina Marino is one of a kind. At the most difficult time of my life she was able to not only navigate me through the horrors of my case but also was there for me when I needed a sounding board. I will like to recomend Nina Marino to anyone that really needs a hard working lawyer,she was a real professional at all times who kept me well informed and someone that fought my case with the DA till the end. She was able to get me a 4 months time served out of a possible 10 years in prison because I was partly guilty of the charges the Federal Goverment was accusing me off. Even when I was getting release I was re arrested again by a misunderstanding by the Immigration deparment and kept another 5 days incarcerated and even when it wasn´t her duty anymore to represent me she fought for me and got me released again.
