I was looking for a probate attorney on behalf of family members who are dealing with an insolvent estate situation. The information provided by Mr. Cohen was very helpful, and allowed us to make the best decision based on the situation. I appreciate Mr. Cohen taking the time to listen and provide the best advice for us.

He settled a really difficult case for my family and was easy to work with. Even though I live in Minnesota, he was willing to take the case and I was kept informed of everything by email. He advanced all of the costs for probate and didn't take any fees until the end. I highly recommend Robert and am using him again for another probate. It's been a long road but Robert made it a lot easier.

I contacted Robert Cohen in regard to the need to take my mother's estate into probate. I am currently joint holder on her accounts and will inherit all the assets on her death. My doubt was about the most effective way to share the estate with my siblings, who are not joint holders. Other attorneys I contacted told me that probate was the only way to go and wanted me to hire them for the work. Robert was the only one who truthfully told me that probate was not necessary. He referred to me a tax accountant who will handle the paperwork for a minimal fee. Instead of going for the fee Robert gave me the correct answer, saving me and my siblings thousands of dollars.

He was wonderful and helped us out through this tough time. He was very understanding and even helped us get money that wasn't part of the probate for free and applied pressure to make it happen for us. Robert really explained the probate process well and the problems we would face. He made it easy and was always available. I appreciate everything he has done to make a difficult situation much easier.

I came to see Robert when my husband died. Robert listened to the facts of the case for free and was the only attorney that told me to come back in six months to avoid creditor claims. The other attorneys wanted me to sign up right away. Robert also was the only attorney that advanced the money for costs of the probate. The other attorneys wanted me to give them a $1,000 retainer. Robert took care of everything including all the hearings so I did not have to go to Court. He also had the nicest and professional people that made the entire process hassle free. He was very easy to talk with and always returned my calls and spent as much time as necessary. I was skeptical about going to an attorney I did not know but now I can absolutely recommend his services.

Robert handled EVERYTHING for me , from fronting all of the court fees to successfully negotiating with creditors to selling my grandmother's home (he has great real estate contacts). We never had to appear in court and Robert was VERY responsive to all my concerns ; in fact, I've never worked with an attorney who is so quick to respond to any of my questions. On the passing of my son one year ago, I started looking for a probate attorney. And I found Mr. Cohen, Esquire on the Nolo Publishing website. I wrote my Case Review (or (Case Ovrview) and post it to Nolo 's website and request to meet any of the awyers I named to meet. Mr. Cohen responded and assured to help me. I only met him three times for the course of probate which took way more than a year. We did most of the proceedings by phone and emails that suited me just great. The first time I went to his office to drop off my docements I did not see him. He told me that I could have just mailed it. The second time I was in his ofice for signing some probate papers. He told me that we could do it by mails and that will a little longer time. Actually I want see him in person. Yes this time I met him. My impression is he is a good mucle man, good nature, smiling and very assuring. The third time I see him for final signatue to close son's probate case. And of course It was time I pay him. His fee and charges are so resonable all according to what was statutory set. I am so thankful to see him the third time. This third time was a relief; the firt two times I was in anxiety. Something extra I have to mention that he even did me a favor to help to write an amendment to my Living Trust without a fee.
