On October 20, 2023, I was informed by Agavni Tulekyan that she would be representing me in my resentencing hearing. She stated that being recommended by CDCR was a huge honor and she wanted to do her best to assist me in receiving the most successful outcome. Ms Agavni was able to follow through with everything she had sais would happen. Being incarcerated for twenty -four years for committing a senseless armed robbery gave me plenty of time to reflect on my past actions. I remained hopeful that one day I would be acknowledged for my actions of today and not be labeled for my past. I know there were times when hopelessness seem to prevail and the Three Strikes Law would not allow me to reap any of the new existing changes in the law. I stayed the course because I had developed a way of being that brought me peace and satisfaction... My hard work paid off. Miss Tulekyan did a thorough job on getting my husband’s sentence reduced. She did a complete evaluation of him and had 2 others on her team to help her and to work with my husband. He had an excessive sentence. His sentence was reduced and he was released. I would definitely recommend her.

Ms. Agavni Tulekyan, is by far the best attorney I have ever worked with she helped with the sealing of my record. She was very aggressive in the court room. She was a kind and very respectful person when talking to me. She knew how to stand up for me whenever necessary and will argue any objections she had with the D.A.'s statements. I am ever so grateful for the services and commitment I received from Attorney Agavni Telekyan, Ms. "A". I was serving a 3 life sentencing that was reduced to 39 to life, running concurrently. My sentencing board date was 2041. At that point I felt very hopeless, with no direction or purpose. In 2021 I heard about the 1170.03 recommendation for resentencing. One of my CDC instructors reached out to the the Secretary of Sacramento to review my file. April 14, 2022 I received a letter from The Honorable Sam Ohta Supervising Judge of the Superior Court County of Los Angeles, basically recommending my sentence be recalled and resentenced. I began to feel hope once again. June 28, 2022 I received a letter from the Law Office of Agavni Telekyan informing me they have been appointed to represent me in the resentencing proceeding. By July 2022 I was contacted by Sarah Rodriguez, Ms ”A"'s assistant to inform me of the proceedings to follow. Shortly after that contact I had a video chat with Ms Avagani to review the recommendations of resentencing. She was very thorough in making sure she had all the necessary information before she presented my case to the court. She explain every detail of the process in a way that I clearly understood and answered every question I had. She treated me with the utmost respect and responded to all my phone calls in a timely manner. We had several consultation via video chats, as she continued to keep me updated and informed throughout the entire proceedings. I was so surprised that my court hearing was set for October 5, 2022. And I was released from the CDC on October 12, 2022. It is unbelievable and a blessing that this entire process took approximately 6-7 months.
