Aren Avaness is by far one of the most amazing attorney's you could ever have fighting on your side. He's exceedingly competent, fair & dedicated. Even more important, he’s kind, compassionate & patient. We had a difficult case after being rear-ended & injured by an uninsured motorist. We would discover that your own insurance company becomes your adversary on an uninsured motorist claim. Our original lawyer couldn’t handle the complexity of the case and referred us to Aren Aveness. It was the best decision we ever made to let Aren take over our case. When you're the victim of a reckless uninsured driver, you expect your insurance company will look out for you. Not the case. Not by a long shot. When Aren took our case, we were in the midst of a nightmare and were at a breaking point. But he immediately calmed the entire situation & pledged to fight for us; assuring us that he’d take on the stress & worry so we could go back to our lives. That's a comforting thing to hear when you feel like you're in a legal twilight zone. As I write this, our case is fully settled & I can honestly say he FULLY delivered on that promise; he always had our backs. He knew EXACTLY how to fight for an outcome that was fair & just. Our insurance company did not make it easy on him. They fought tooth & nail. It was a lesson in how the victim can be treated worse by the insurance company than the reckless driver who caused the problem. Our insurance company's lawyers were harsh & borderline abusive, but Aren was always there fighting for us & caring that we felt protected. He was such a calming influence. Sympathetic & compassionate; always having time/patience to talk me off the ledge when I'd be triggered by the opposing lawyers harsh practices. Always caring that WE felt protected & buffered from the onslaught of the other lawyers. He truly cared about the toll it took on our mental health; always pro-active in discussing every option that was on the table - even the ones that would have resulted in him earning far less than he deserved if we chose mental health over the stress of an ongoing lawsuit. But we persevered to see it through BECAUSE Aren made us feel nothing was more important than protecting us & fighting for us. You hear horror stories about personal injury attorney's, & when you find yourself needing one, you hope to make the right choice. Aren at Avaness was the BEST choice we could have made. Our final settlement was much higher than we’d hoped, so he knows his business & knows how to ethically fight for his clients. His ethics are impeccable, & that mattered a great deal to us. While he always kept it professional, we did learn one personal thing about him that I think sums him up perfectly: he cares deeply about being the kind of lawyer his father could be proud of. If I were to meet his father, I'd thank him for raising an extraordinary young man who is out there doing good in the world. He has every reason to be exceedingly proud of the man his son has become. I HIGHLY recommend Aren Aveness. My advice is to trust in him. Ask whatever questions you need; he's always willing to explain things. Be patient as he works through the complexities of your case. There will be complications (even in a slam dunk like ours) because the insurance industry only cares about profits. You need an experienced lawyer to fight for you. And Aren will. His fees are exceedingly fair & VERY pro-client. When the case is over, he'll explain everything down to the penny. My spouse (also a lawyer) and I walk away from this knowing we had a very fair & ethical attorney who looked out for us from beginning to end. This is how it should be. Our case was emotionally taxing & difficult, but Aren had our backs through every single moment of it. He deserves a review that is 10x this long for all he did for us. But let it suffice to say a heartfelt thank you, Aren. You're a truly good man & we are immensely grateful.
