Maya is tops in Family Law. I have referred her to my clients for year's and have only heard excellent comments. There is no doubt she is an expert in spousal support, child support, custody issues and modifications of existing orders. I would never endorse an attorney unless I knew for certain the quality of their work was excellent.

Do your research, dig into buried reviews, look into unethical behavior for any attorney. They should be vetted as well a doctor. Do not let marketing reviews mislead you. Reviewers with one review are typically not authentic, take a minute to look on sites such as trellis to get a better idea of your attorneys track record if any. I hope that you have a better experience than I had, over the 12 months I retained Maya Shulman. She won some, she made some mistakes that she has paid for.

I have referred many clients to Maya, whenever I think of someone to get the job done and take care of a valuable client resource, I think of Maya there is no one better!

Part 3 - let me make this very clear. My situation is very intricate and complicated because - if you want to know or read my first review, part 1 of 2 is on Yelp. This is part 2 of 2. Here's my update is that I'm feeling very queasy about this transaction. It was the first time I've hired a lawyer in my life, and the reason that I went with her because she had reputable LinkedIn connections. I've only heard from Maya directly after I hounded them down in making sure her firm had received my final payment towards the retainer fees. The reviews - I've read here and Facebook is genuinely bugging the bejesus in me. I'm a working-class person trying to do things the right way since I need a lawyer for a prenup. I don't know yet what to think at this point. I do know that the terms and conditions are that given when it comes to the money are non-refundable. I'll keep you guys updated on this saga. The saga is not AT ALL with this firm.

I had a child custody case that involved quite a lot of intricacies (no marriage, 2 children, domestic violence, etc). She helped me navigate the multiple different turns the opposing counsel took, anticipated how things might play out very well, guided me to handle situations better, and ultimately helped achieve the end goal, which resulted in us doing a move away. She was always professional, upfront with me about possible outcomes, and gave the best advice. She was always timely, effective, communicative, respectful, assertive, and preemptive. I'm so grateful for her taking on my case and guiding me through every step of the way. Our lives would be so different (and much worse) had she not. Thank you for helping the court system see things clearly for how they are (rather than how opposing counsel tried to portray things). Best attorney I have had the pleasure of working with!

I was referred to Maya's firm by a friend and am very grateful for it. Maya represented me in a custody situation with my ex-husband. She and her staff did an excellent job and were both understanding and responsive to my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Maya to anyone needing counsel in a family law case.
