Let's just say my husband and I did not expect to have to ever file for bankruptcy! But life can throw you unexpected challenges! We found New Chapter Law Group on Yelp. It was already a little past 6 pm, but I decided to give them a call, and maybe leave a message or find some info they might have on their answering machine. But I did not have to do either, because they picked up! AFTER HOURS! Krisitin answered and was so pleasant, which put us at ease right away. They set up an over the phone interview with us, and totally worked around our schedules, without any hesitating. All the information was given to us in a way we could understand simply. Before we started the process, bankruptcy seemed like such a "monster" of a word. But both Kristin and Nik made it sound so simple. Which was almost weird at first, because we kept expecting something to go wrong! But nothing ever went wrong. They were there for us every step of the way. Their replies were always prompt, helpful and a relief. Whatever worry we had, they put at ease. If we emailed them at midnight, we typically saw a reply by the morning. And the best part was, they even had a sense of humor all the way through. It was not uncommon to read replies and laugh! Which lightened everything up too! Our story echoes others here. Jeff was the second lawyer to handle our Chapter 7 filing, the first firm nearly filing our case using the wrong election which would have placed my business and other assets at unnecessary risk. Jeffrey Larkin is by far one of the most reliable, creative, and intelligent lawyers I have ever met.
