As difficult as it is to go through a divorce the one thing I have learned is that at some point you are going to need solid advice from a sound professional. After trying my hand at self representation to get through the sticky portion of support orders, I knew I needed help. After interviewing a few other recommended attorneys, I decided to go with John Griffith and his team of experts. From day one I was blown away with their accuracy, care, attitude, and ability to ethically think outside the box with my case. John and his team are pros and not just looking to bill hours when and where they can. In a time where you feel like you can't trust anyone John and his team truly give you a sense of someone having your back. Divorce is never cheap, but John and his team had my financial best interest at heart in and out of the courtroom. As backhanded as it sounds, I hope I never need to retain their team again, but if so I will gladly do so knowing I am in good, capable hands of true professionals who care.

I was referred to this attorney by a dear friend who was going through a divorce, only he was the opposing attorney for that case. I could not be more grateful for this attorney. John is nothing short of amazing.

I went from full custody from birth to 2014 to supervised visitations and then slowly only got my girls 2 times a month for the last 2 years. I'm a wonderful mother who needed help with alcohol abuse, admitted it and received treatment and went above what was required of me in court to prove my sobriety. My ex abused this power and was road blocking my relationship and communication with my girls. He had full legal and physical custody. I've had attorneys in the past that did the bare minimum but didn't give this case the voice it needed. I reluctantly hired John with the hopes that someone would listen and be the voice for the girls and myself and my other 2 daughters who lived with me full time. I knew because I had a substance abuse problem in the past that regardless of what I showed as evidence ; I wouldn't get the girls back. I was prepared for that IF AND ONLY IF I showed all my evidence and then that was decided what was in the best interest of the girls. I had over 6 years worth of evidence that overwhelmed me to even look at. It's painful to read and relive the abuse and craziness of the past. John took this case knowing that my request might be a long shot but believed in me. Agreed to make it a priority. Today, after 8 long hours- I won. I was reassured throughout the day every time john asked the questions of my ex and witnesses. He asked exactly the questions that needed to have answers. He left no stone unturned. I wasn't looking to keep my kids from their father-I fully agree that both parents need to co parent. However, it didn't matter if i was a perfect mother- my ex did not want me to have any custody. He wanted me to have 8 hours a week supervised. This was a typical what not to do custody dispute; words being thrown back and forth, accusations against me, lies and manipulation. Don't get me wrong- in your case you have to do the work. I had to make sure I met the deadlines asked of me, hand over everything I possibly could to help my case. I had to make sure that this 6 year nightmare some how made sense to an attorney. My fear was that he would take my money, do the bare minimum and call it a day. However- John was honest, hard working and made my case heard. He spoke for my children who didn't have a voice. Today was the best day. Not only did we go back to 50/50, I also was awarded the capability to have final say in legal disputes when it comes to the girls health and well being. This is unheard of in many cases. I am speechless as to what happened today. I know it was the right judgement, my friends and family know it's the right judgement. John was honest yet firm. He literally covered everything in a timely manner. In writing a review, these words don't give justice to what I have experienced in a mere 2 months. His assistant, Danielle, was amazing with handling my overabhndance of emails. It is my pleasure to be able to write a review for this attorney. I believe he saw my hard work that I've done to get back on track, realized I shouldn't be punished as a parent, did the right thing. He was professional yet approachable. He definitely is someone that I would rate a 10/10. If you have any doubts about where to put your trust and obviously hard earned money- I give you my word; this is your guy. I have felt beaten for so long by this case and to feel justice done is invigorating. It's something I had faith in but didn't know if it was possible. Today- I get to tuck in all four of my girls and know I kept my promise as a mother to always have their back, never give up and fight for what you know to be the right thing. My wife received a Statement of Reasons from the Dept. of Defense regarding a financial issue. Terrified that she might lose her Security Clearance, and ultimately her job, we interviewed multiple attorneys with experience in working with the Dept. of Defense. We instantly knew that Catie is who we wanted to work with – she quickly began building a case for my wife over our first telephone conversation. Seeking assistance from Carie E.Young was the best thing I did when it came to handling my divorce. In my case, I needed a lot of help due to the complicated nature of the situation which involved financial battling and a fierce dispute regarding child custody. If I could give negative stars, I would. When I hired John, he was full of promises. I should never have listened to his poor legal advice. He could not have cared less about me, my children or our financial future. I have had to go to other attorneys so understand what he allowed to be filed with the court. It's a disaster that more than one attorney told me makes no sense and has to be undone.

Today my life has been forever changed. I am a very proud father of a beautiful 3.5 year little girl. I have been in an extremely high conflict custody case for 3.5 years until today. My new reality still has not set in. I feel so unbelievably compelled to write this review because it was quite a journey. Before contacting John Griffith and Amy Lass, I had contacted and interviewed over 75 attorneys all over southern CA. Let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. The worst part is they all wanted a $50,000 retainer and said there was very little hope to win my case. Because of this, I was self-represented for the majority of my case. I was up against a “mother favored” system, crooked attorneys and professionals that seem only to be in their positions because they were forced… so it seemed to me. I contacted Amy Lass outside of my court room because I saw her performance in a case just before mine and I decided to give it one last try at hiring an attorney. I’m glad I did!
