Complete waste of time and money. I retained her for a HOA dispute I am in. On the phone she was extremely supportive, told me all the laws they were in violation of and how she could not believe their actions. Offered to take the case stating that it was a serious dispute. Once I paid the retainer, she began telling me how the fee's were not a big deal and that other HOA's charge a lot more, she couldn't understand why I was so upset about the issues because they really were not that big a deal. I was basically scammed by this woman...

Working with Lauren was everything we needed in an adoption attorney. She shared her legal expertise and also her experience as a mother of adopted children. In a tricky situation, she made the process as smooth and uncomplicated as she could. We highly recommend Lauren!

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATTORNEY! WARNING! ... I"m a disabled Iraq war veteran (combat) and after paying Wakefield Law 40 thousand dollars they abandoned my case. I feel betrayed because I thought Danielle Wakefield was looking out for my best interest in my HOA case but instead took my money and bailed on me as a client. Response...she was paid as agreed. This is the type of person Ms. Wakefield is...she says thank you for military service through one side of her mouth but on the other side laughs as she steals from a disabled veteran. I'm glad I filed a complaint against her with the State Bar, she is such a crooked lawyer and the public deserves to know who she really is. It looks like she has the same response to many who complain against her, "I don't do business that way" is her way of saying "I ripped you off and will get away with it".....STAY AWAY!!! from this corrupt attorney, she is a poor excuse for a human being :-(

She was very rude and aggressive to me as her client for her entire tenure as my counsel. She quit my case after losing a hearing, stating she "does not do business this way?" Im unsure what that has to do with her procedural errors that resulted in losing that hearing, but it ultimately forced me to abandon my claims. She pretended it was due to a billing issue. Very poor attorney, does not take direction, and I would not recommend her to anyone with a complex or serious matter.

Where do I begin?! From the moment I gained Laurens contact information, it seems like she was already at work! I made the call, left my contact info and Lauren immediately got back to me AND had next steps for me and my husband. Lauren made each step and connection during our adoption process clear and direct. She had contacts who were also very professional and friendly, which made our personal adoption journey as easy as I can imagine. Lauren's personality was gentle and warm from our first conversation, and she still checks in on our family with cards and other forms of communication as well! She encourages and loves to get updates from our family, which really makes us feel special after our journey to get where we are today. We love that we were connected with Lauren to help us in the adoption process (which we really knew nothing about)! Her professionalism, her knowledge, friendliness and PERSONAL EXPERIENCE really makes her stand out! Look no further!!

Excellent customer service and authentic. My husband and I worked with Lauren for the adoption of our child, and because she's also adopted her children - twice - she was really the only we met in the area that could actually relate to all the things related to adoption, not just the legal side of it. What's more, she helped, us easy navigate through all of the legal aspects of adoption, and she was always very proactive in her approach. We were able to get our final adoption hearing so much earlier than others we knew who were waiting quite a long time. If you're looking to adopt, you're at the right place, but she is not only personally knowledgable, but someone who gets it all done in as efficient way possible. We absolutely loved working with Lauren!

Lauren was essential in helping me adopt my husband’s children (also known as a stepparent adoption.) Before hiring Lauren, my husband and I thought we could do it ourselves as it seemed “easy enough.” Well, we were wrong! Despite the fact there appeared to be no issues on the surface, we encountered issues even Lauren was surprised about. But despite her surprise such issues were raised, she handled them with complete and total ease. The adoption went extremely smoothly even with the hiccups and it took less than a year from the filing of paperwork to actually getting a court date. My kids love having a “mom” again and I love being that mom. Our family would not be complete if it wasn’t for Lauren. If you are thinking of adopting, I 100% recommend Lauren. She’s smart, professional, and extremely understanding of all aspects of the situation. We can’t thank her enough for all her help!

Lauren helped my husband and I through our adoption process — which was both remarkably easy and incredibly difficult at the same time. Her constant knowledge, compassion, and reassurance helped us stay sane during an unexpected contested adoption. I’m not sure what the attorney version of “bedside manner” is, but she has it in spades.
