Michael Rooney is a top notch attorney. He won my case and got my gun rights back. He was very professional and fought for exactly what I wanted. If you need an attorney Rooney is your man. He said he would do a very simple thing for me (get court to sign over my divorce property because my husband refused to do so) for a FLAT FEE. First, they did nothing for 3 months and just before a related deadline I called and said I wanted to cancel the deal. That call got me Rooney himself on the phone who whined that he "wasnt making much money on this anyway" but that he would act immediately--all very self centered, unprofessional and just plain weird. After the deal was done (they did the job ok just under the wire so I give them that extra point!) they tried to charge me for filing fees that were never even charged by the court because I had a fee waiver!!!! I sent them proof of that and for over a year, I received demands for this and other monies that were not to be charged to me because it was a "flat fee" arrangement! It's been about 3 years now so I guess they gave up trying to cheat me. All in all, this firm blows a lot of hot air but doesn't live up to their bragging. Don't be impressed by all the fancy, expensive chachkas in their conference room--someone is paying for it big time!! lol

Gave me good advice

Mr. Rooney was true to his word, starting from day one of discussing my interstate Medical Marijuana case. During that first phone call Mr. Rooney learned of the two things I'm most proud of. My honorable service in the ARMY and my dedication to my 4yr old little girl. I was told, "Our main goal will be to keep you out of jail so you can enjoy your life with your little girl" I haven't spent another day in jail since. I get more face time with my child now then before my arrest, I'm finally receiving the proper treatment from the VA, and have a new out look on life. The California judicial system is harsh and unfair to the weak and uninformed. It pays to have powerful legal representation like Rooney Law Firm.

I give them a I due to the fact that they can't give me a reason to why all the sudden they decided to stop my case and then to find out through other offices that it's because my attorney had left their firm. All they needed to do was tell the truth and give me everything out of my file. I am missing documents that i turned in to them and have yet to receive them back. I don't recommend them. Not worth $3500 plus

Mr. Rooney dropped two of my felony charges, It wasn't even required I show up the last court date. The people who work with Mr. Rooney handle things professionally, great Law Firm, I wouldn't recommend anyone else for the job.

I would definately recommend this firm. The attorneys helped me get exactly what I wanted in my case. Anytime I had questions they were answered right away. The staff were professional and were very sensitive when it came to my legal matter. So glad I had these people guide me through this difficult time, they were great every step of the way.

What a terrible place! They take your money, then up the cost, then leave you high and dry. It's crazy a lawyer would do this to a family, but my son is in such a bad spot by hiring this guy. Stay away! It'll beak your heart and your bank account!
