The first person I called for legal guidance when coming to terms with the actuality of my divorce was Alejandro Angulo. A trusted friend and colleague, Alex had reviewed and prepared many music licensing contracts for me, my then husband and our record label. When my ex and I split, he helped facilitate legal and business agreements between us, handled an awkward dissolution with grace and taught me to have a backbone. His friendship and guidance have been tremendously valuable. He is a wise, skilled, proactive attorney. I continue to consult with him to this day on music contracts for my new label.

I met Alex more than 10 years ago, working on small projects here and there. When I started my own business, I knew I had to have the King Kong of attorneys on my side. He's incredibly honest, trustworthy and smart, and I personally believe that locking Alex in as our attorney was one of our greatest business accomplishments.

I'm sure no client ever feels they are ever 'normal' but some do require special treatment and, not without regrets, I think I fell into this category. Fortunately, Alex's knowledge and professionalism is matched by his personal code of behavior and humanity - with a decent splash of earthy humor on the side. It's a great mix and it really helps at a time when people are stressed and struggling. Should another meteorite ever land on my head (OK, well that's just how it felt) I won't hesitate to call Alex.
