I agree with Emily 100%. We just finished creating our estate plan with Lisa, and it was a pleasant and painless experience. We're new parents and wanted to get this in order, but weren't sure about the best route. Lisa asked good questions and listened to us, and came up with a plan that suits us very well. She did Zoom consultations, and then we went into the office to sign the documents (Lisa and her office team are very on top of COVID precautions). Would definitely recommend!

Our experience with Lisa on creating our trust, wills and power of attorneys was smooth and easy from start to finish. All of our questions were answered, and at no time did we feel rushed in making important decisions. We were provided with the fee and cost up front and there was no hidden fees. It was a very painless and rather pleasant process, much easier than we expected.

I found David Rubin through Santa Clara County Bar Association and hired him for my 82 year old father. I have power of attorney over this case. David Rubin billed Dad for a lot of phone calls and emails to me. But never accomplished anything. David Rubin did not listen to any requests we made and acted like a one man dog and pony show. David Rubin insisted on talking to my lawyer for advice and arranged a phone call and email with my lawyer. And then billed my Dad. Really? He won’t send a billing statement until you ask for one which allows him plenty of time to soak up the retainer, in particular my Dads retainer without even getting a case filed. He acts like he knows what he is doing in a civil case. But clearly does not. He also consulted other lawyers advice and then billed my Dad. If David Rubin knew he couldn’t competently handle dads case. He should have told us from the beginning. Most family law incorporates civil issues into a case and David Rubin was not competent to manage this. We hired another law firm prior to Rubin and Dad had to let them go because they were ready to file a divorce for my dad. But Dads ex wife had already divorced him. David Rubin told my dad he isn’t able to get along with attorneys so should just drop his case. He also said he didn’t think my Dad would win his case. My question would be. Why did you continue to work on the case and bill Dad if you didn’t think he would win?

I was referred to David. I just wanted to say he is a very nice, patient, and intelligent person. He explained to me about my case in very good detail, so that I understood it well. His fee is also fair. I highly recommend him to anybody who needs a honest attorney. Thank you David!

I contacted David about drafting and executing a legal agreement. For this particular case, he offered a flat fee that I thought was fair. He was very accommodating, giving me exactly the level of involvement that I wanted in drafting the document. He guided me through every step of the process, educating me and alerting me to issues that I hadn't thought about. His knowledge of the law seemed thorough. I did some reading about the law, but every single thing I brought up he already knew about. He was very patient and detailed in answering all of my questions. Throughout the process his concern was in creating an agreement that would hold up in litigation, should the need ever arise. I had dealings with another lawyer who only seemed to want to do the bare minimum. That other person would always say "Oh, you don't need to do this, you don't need to do that - it's good enough the way it is". David, in contrast, was always thinking about how litigation might play out, and how we can write the agreement to avoid problems, especially on points where the law is ambiguous. David really spent a lot of time working with me to get the agreement to say exactly what I wanted. He responded to all of my e-mail and phone calls very quickly. He pushed the process along, prodding me on certain occasions about the information that I needed to deliver to him. Our deadline was met with time to spare. I can unreservedly recommend David Rubin for family law matters.

Mr. Rubin was very helpful and attentive throughout our adoption case. He was easily accessible and also kept an open line of communication. Everything was filed properly and a timely fashion. Mr. Rubin took my divorce case through the Project Pro Bono organization for people with very low incomes and did a wonderful job. He paid close attention to details and filed all the court documents on time. He never missed a court date and always briefed me on what would happen at the hearings. David also made sure I received the court-ordered spousal support. David never made me feel like a second-class client. He even helped me when a new landlord refused to allow my service dog! I am grateful for all he did for me. I would recommend him to anyone. David is a terrific attorney!

David Rubin is very professional and easily gained my trust. My case was complicated but it didn't stop him to deal with issues.
