1.0 star rating 4/18/2017 I wish I could give less than 1 star. I have been working with the firm in Escondido. They are awful. I had to make payments because they are charging me more than 5k for my bankruptcy. That in and of itself is ridiculous, but by the time I looked more into it, I had paid a substantial amount to them and couldn't get it back. I did NOT have a payment plan with them, I called each month to make a payment. One day I checked my account and they had made an UNAUTHORIZED payment. I called and asked about it and they said they made a mistake and would credit me back. They never did. I told them to TAKE MY CARD NUMBER OFF FILE and they said they would. I checked my account today and not one but TWO charges that were unauthorized were made on my checking account! I just called and they said it was a mistake and would credit me back. THIS IS FRAUD! THIS SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW. I have no payment plan with this company and they virtually stole money because they have my acct number! I called my bank and filed charges, now I have to call any company I have automatic debits with and reset everything up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am supposed to trust this company with my bankruptcy? They are absolutely AWFUL. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go through them.

Although there are MANY bankruptcy attorneys with lower fees, we went with Doan Law primarily due to their promise to aggressively seek damages from any creditor who violates their Cease and Desist Order in violation of Bankruptcy Law. However, DON'T believe their promises - they are HOLLOW! We had one creditor who demanded payment of a debt that had been included in our bankruptcy FIVE TIMES over a FIVE MONTH period of time, AFTER they acknowledged receipt of a Cease and Desist order, but after over a DOZEN calls, letters, and emails, Doan REFUSED to take ANY action at all against this creditor! If you're shopping for a bankruptcy attorney, I recommend that you move on and KEEP LOOKING!

Because of a crippling accident and surgery, I accrued huge debt and needed a bankruptcy attorney. My case was very complex. I interviewed 5 San Diego Bankruptcy attorneys. Shawn Doan was the only one who could answer my questions. He saved my car and gave me a new chance at life. Shawn is a highly skilled and competent attorney. He answers all calls and emails. Shawn Doan gave me options when CITI Mortgage would not, Shawn allowed me to keep my home and saved it from forclosure. I have an affordable repayment plan, although high, but affordable.

I was very nervious meeting with an attorney as I had heard mulitple horror stories of companies that promised the world, took your money and that was the last that you would hear from them. But a close business associate referred me to Shawn Doan and Doan law and told me that they were different, so I set an appointment. Immediately I was struck by how friendly and accomidating the staff was. I met with Jason and Thom to set up my case and then Shawn sat down with me to go over the finer points. He walked me thru the entire process and didn't beat around the bush when I asked questions or voiced concerns. I agreed to retain them and they filed my case. The entire case went exactly as I was promised from the beginning. I was treated well, my calls and e-mails were returned promptly and the case was discharged without a hitch. I think that Shawn and Doan Law did a great job and took a huge weight off my shoulders and I am thankful for their help.
