I recently retained Attorney Will Smith to help me with a Mediation hearing for my father's estate. Actually, I was hoping not to have to hire an attorney as my father's trusts had a corporate trustee with an extremely capable attorney along with the fact that I am not the average consumer in terms of my experience level with negotiations. Because of this, I brought Mr. Smith at a date later than was ideal...less than two weeks before the date of the hearing! Although late to the game, Mr. Smith got right to work and was really on top of things from the start. The day of the hearing he was a very calming influence and a great sounding board for my concerns as the mediation progressed. At the end of the day, we were able to reach a settlement that was very acceptable to me...even though going into the hearing I was very pessimistic that we would do so.
