After several bad experiences with attorneys, Stephen came along and saved the day. He turned a terrible situation into a great experience. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an attorney.

Steve was incredibly helpful handling my first encounter with a personal injury case. My case was unique as it was not a large settlement but large enough where I could not afford to pay without the help of my insurance company. Nonetheless, Steve took my case and in a matter of a few weeks helped me settle enough to cover my doctor's expenses, his services and even enough to cover my own personal pain and inconvenience. I am very thankful for his expertise and would recommend his services in the event you are dealing with a personal injury case too.

I was being charged with DUI and hit and run. The prosecutor was New and very predatory. I knew that I was not guilty but this lady tried to paint me as a horrible person. Steve listened to my side and was upfront and honest with the billing and my chances for success. The honesty was a big part of why I hired Steve. Steve suggested we go to trial where we were able to have a very favorable outcome basically paid to fix a small scratch on a car. Steve would be my first call if I were to ever get in trouble again and I would have no problem recommending him to others.

I hired Parkhurst Law Firm, or so I thought. This firm is the typical "mill" law firm. High volume lower fees. The saying that you get what you pay for was true. I would not write a negative review about the firm and especially Mr. Schofield if it had not been for the circumstances in which I came to them. I had hired a previous lawyer that had a another lawyer step in at a hearing and a mistake was made at the hearing. My case was very serious in that it was a multiple felony strike case. I'm a single father and could not afford anything on my record. Mr. Schofiled knew how concerned I was with having a competent and aggressive lawyer on my side.I went in to speak to Mr. Parkhurst who was with another client so I met with Mr. Schofiled for about an hour. Mr. Parkhurst came in and sat with me for about 15 minutes. Mr. Schofiled was very good at selling the fact that he has a rapport with the DA that was on my case. I began realizing that Mr. Schofield was the one handling my case. I researched Mr. Parkhurst and his many years of experience and where he went to law school. As I researched Mr. Schofiled, I found out that he did family law for 2 years and then personal injury for 2 and was now taking a crack at criminal law. Ridiculous! I was told that initially when I spoke to them that they had another "very sharp" lawyer by the name of Kit that assists on cases. After I went back to meet to go over my case Mr. Parkhurst was a no show. As Steve and I went over the case I realized he had not gone over it. I asked what Kit thought about my case and Steve begins to tell me that Kit handles basically administrative stuff and doesnt really get that involved. What are you kidding. This was not what I was told. When I paid them, his exact words were "ok we are going to roll our sleeves up and get into the details." He never went over any details. Steve sent a couple documents over to the DA, one of which was an article that I researched regarding a specific aspect of my case. I knew his work ethic and laziness was going to be the demise of my case. I hope your read this Mr. Schofiled because this was the turning point for me when I realized I had a lazy, incompetent lawyer who was not motivated to be a great lawyer but simply just another run of you mill lawyer. I was doing clinicals at a hospital and a patient came in and "coded." I did CPR on this patient for 25 minutes. The patient died a couple of times. At one point I heard some one say, " there's only so much we can do....it is what it is." We never gave up and guess what...the patient made it. Later that day I spoke to Steve and he said the DA was only offering to drop it to a misdemeanor. I told Steve that the details of my case had not been shown. Steve's exact words were..."it is what it is." He then said it just looks bad because of this and that. Like that patient I guess I could have given up but I didn't. Well guess what. I fired them and hired another lawyer that spent several hours if not more getting details, phone records that showed mistakes were made by the county. With that being said, the case was dismissed a couple days ago. I absolutely would not hire these 3 lawyers but especially Mr. Schofield. He was misleading as to what he was doing, lazy, incompetent and just basically an unmotivated lawyer that wanted to put in effort and time.
