I hired Susan Medina around June of 2015 for litigation in a Workers Comp. involving a local school district. I hired her because of difficult communication I was having with my Work. Comp. case worker. This case was messy, because I was a Substitute Teacher, so I had no benefits from the district. The issues of this case were complicated, as I worked for three different districts, and the one I was in litigation was where I worked the least. The interaction between Susan Medinas staff and the district made my interaction with them very volatile. I expressed these concerns to Susan and her staff, and began searching for different representation. Susan subsequently discharged me from her case, citing irreconcilable differences, without ever discussing this with me. I secured other legal representation, and recently successfully settled this case. It took a long time. Again, as my case was pretty messy. I guess, Susan Medina decided that she would have to exert to much time and energy with my messy case, for it to be profitable for her. Although for several years she attended the hearings just in case my new attorney secured a settlement for me, and she could get a piece of it for the tiny bit of mismanaged effort she put in my case. I guess she even gave that up. She didn't receive a penny from my case, for which I am eternally grateful. If you have a strong easily winnable case she's your girl, otherwise don't waste your time, if she actually has to work at it.
