Anjeli is the Real Deal nothing about her is fake. I hired Anjeli after attending a court hearing with my grandson and his public defender and mother. After that i knew i had to do something to help him. I called juvenile court and they were amazingly kind and informative. They highly recommended Anjeli, for her remarkable reputation working with the courts and staff and her passion and compassion for people. She took a young mans prank and fought for a reduction in charges sped up the court calendar to expedite and get closure. Every single thing Anjeli did she communicated to my grandson and myself even taking time out in her hectic day to call in the evening. For me dealing with an attorney is especially stressful almost as bad as court, she made this procedure seemless. My experience was so amazing that when another grandchild found himself in a bit of trouble i was quick to ask for her council and when he found himself at his bottom she was able to push his case ahead. I cannot thank her enough. You will not be disappointed.

Anjali was a blessing from the start. When I say that this Lady is heaven sent, I mean this wholeheartedly. I was fighting a horror of a story until God brought this woman in my life. The case that she represented me for was an old case out of Fresno County from 2017, that had a warrant attached to it. When I went to prison in another state in August of 2021 Fresno County placed a Detainer on me meaning a hold and that they wanted to expedite me after I was released from prison. Here I was, facing a 10 year prison sentence and when I was done, I was going to have to go to jail again. Imagine how distraught I felt in my mind, because of that reality. Feeling hopeless, I expressed concern to my Mom and asked her if she could try to find an attorney to help me because I didn't know what else to do. My mom found Anjali, looked at her reviews and assured me she was the right one for the job. Feeling relieved but still under pressure, my discharge date was approaching rapidly. Anjali got me on docket for hearing 2 days before my release date. Miraculously, my discharge date moved up before the date of my court hearing that Anjali got me on docket for and Fresno county was coming to get me. In a complete panic, I called my mom and asked her if she could email my attorney " Anjali " immediately to let her know that my discharge date had changed. My life flashed before my eyes, the only thing I could think about was I'm going to miss out on the opportunity to go to my transitional living I got accepted into and no be able to take advantage of all the wonderful resources they offer to ensure I have a successful reintegration back into society from prison. My anxiety and fear was so overwhelming, this cloud of dread filled my soul. Anjali assured my mother and I that she was pressuring the DA TO REMOVE THE Transport ORDER. That one word, PRESSURING is all I needed to hear to remain calm and let her do what my spirit was telling me that she knows how to do best. 3 days before my release date, Anjali got the DA TO PULL THE TRANSPORT ORDER. She also got the courts to agree that I appear via zoom from my transitional living. On the day of hearing, Anjali Bansal, SHOWED UP A SHOWED OUT FOR ME!! She helped me get my Felony charge one, dropped down to a misdemeanor and my second charge, which was a misdemeanor dismissed completely. My Felony charge was fleeing a peace officer while reckless driving and the misdemeanor was resisting peace officer. This woman is absolutely AMAZING. If you need an attorney that's gonna go hard in the paint fur you, this Lady is it! This was one of many of the best days of my life! 10 years of heaviness lifted by one angel that GOD sent my way. I would highly recommend her over and over again. This woman Anjali Bansal is truly timeless!

This man is the truth! I’d recommend no one else. Professional. Driven. Connected. I’ve had prior attorneys in my life, nobody holds a candle to Yan Shraberman. He is the best I’ve had, and the best I think there is to offer. I’m a father, and let’s put it like this… if my son were to need council I’d hire Yan. Again! Straight up the best!

Mr. Jones answered my consultation call about my DUI and gave me helpful information about next possible steps for my case. Even though I already hired an attorney who kind of messed up my case, David listened to me and helped me figure out what I can do to possibly fix it even though he didn't have to. I really appreciated that he did not pressure me to hire him, but was just trying to be helpful. If you hire him, I'm sure he'd put your best interests first and fight for you.

I hired David a while ago for my case in which he was able to bring my felony charge down to a misdemeanor. Now that I have finished my probation, I asked David for advice on what to do for closure and he was incredibly helpful. I didn’t know there were ways to put my situation behind me and with David’s help I am at ease with what happened and for my future. I recommend David for anyone who wants an attorney who will fight for you and continue being helpful even after your case has been closed.

I met with Mr. Jones about a DUI charge. He was very informative and helpful. He answered my call after business hours and told me what to expect in court the next day, he did this even though I was not his client at the time. Trust me... save yourself money and headache and hire Mr. Jones.

Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Fresno, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
