Mr. Ball was enormously helpful during the entire process. He was very informative regarding the details of the discovery and pretrial mechanics and he worked vigorously and effectively behind the scenes to expedite the process as much as possible. I thought his preparation prior to deposition was detailed and appropriate. His specific efforts to explain some of the more arcane and confusing parts of the legal process were much appreciated, especially during the pre trial settlement meetings where I felt like he protected our best interests and boosted our confidence that we were on the right track. I felt blessed to have him in our corner.

I had never needed a lawyer before so this was a new experience for me. Mike was recommended to me for my situation and I am very thankful. He was very personable, yet professional, and spent a lot of time researching my case to learn the facts. He wanted to know ME as well so obtained character references in addition to the two very experienced expert witnesses he obtained to support me. He was very open to my husband being involved (by phone, email and in person) and even included him as part of my defense. He was very good about "keeping me in the loop" as things transpired as the hearing approached and very quick to respond to my many email questions. Mike did his very best to represent me and I feel he did a great job. His calm presence and sense of humor during the hearing were added bonuses. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do, I'll certainly call Mike Ball.

He immediately took charge of the situation, outlining the key legal issues, his past experience with similar cases, and his step by step plan of defense, but he always asked for my opinion after describing options and likely outcomes. He made me feel that I was in good hands but at the same time I knew I had substantial control of my case. He made himself available to me even after office hours, especially when I was under stress. Mr. Ball has worked with our Medical Group for the past 15 years handling medical malpractice issues along with California Medical Board issues. As noted above, he is very responsive and knowledgeable. He takes the time to get to know the provider and if necessary, prepares them for their deposition or testimony. Very realistic and always gives the pros and cons of each situation. Our group has had medical malpractice cases go to trial. Mr. Ball is very dynamic and our group has prevailed each time. One case in particular comes to mind. The case was actually named the Group, so not only were there providers involved, but also staff. Mr. Ball met with each staff (and provider) on multiple occasions to prepare them for their deposition and trial. None of them knew what to expect. He has a very calm demeanor and help the staff become comfortable with the process. This was the first time I actually sat in a trial beside Mr. Ball. He asked my opinion of each jury member during the selection process and kept me informed of what would happen next. His closing argument was fantastic and our Group prevailed. In addition, he has helped us respond to California Medical Board inquiries, is very proactive, and we have not had any disciplinary action taken against any of our providers. Mr. Ball is also a great speaker and he has addressed our medical group over 10 times with great presentations on how to reduce medical liability risk. I would give Mr. Ball my highest recommendation.
