I can say in confidence that Eric Mackey-Fitzgerald is an experienced attorney who will work diligently to help with any type of family law case. After dealing with 3 previous family law attorneys & getting subpar legal help from them, I had an urgent need to hire an attorney to help with my family law case. From the beginning, Eric communicated efficiently and advised of what was needed to resolve my case. His family law expertise helped me to receive a judgement in my favor in family court. I worked with him a 2nd time in a related child support matter, and again he was able to help me receive a favorable judgment in court. Pricing for his services is fair and reasonable. Invoicing was always completed in a timely manner and was never confusing to understand. I also never felt the billing was exaggerated as I had experienced with previous attorneys. I would recommend him over any other family law attorney in the Orange County area. It feels good knowing if any other legal matters arise in the future, I can reach out to Eric and his staff again to receive excellent legal help.

I retained Eric for a civil matter case. Eric was extremely professional, honest, and responsive in assisting me with my case. He went above and beyond on what I thought attorneys would do (responded to my inquiries after hours). When meeting with Eric, he was extremely thorough in walking me through what to expect, and how to best prepare myself. He offered so much information which gave me the confidence in going into my hearing. On a side note, I was able to see Eric in the courtroom before deciding to move forward in using his services. The way he conducted himself inside the courtroom, and the rapport he had with the family judge was clear as day. He's extremely professional, knows his stuff, and represented his clients well. Most importantly, you got the sense the way the judge communicated with him was starkly different in comparison to other attorneys. Eric was the 2nd attorney I hired for my divorce/ custody case. I had a horrible experience with my first lawyer, long story short I was 20k in with her and absolutely nothing was done. I walked into Eric's office very hesitant. I was impressed with our first meeting and decided to retain him, but at the end of the day it comes down to things actually getting done. He was amazing throughout the whole process always responsive, always realistic, never over promising, very professional and he got things done. Having that weight lifted off my shoulder and finally being able to move forward was an amazing feeling, that is all thanks to Eric. I have recommended him to family and friends. After much research, I hired Eric to represent me in my divorce. Our initial meeting was comfortable and informative. Eric was very knowledgeable and able to work with me to understand my needs. For reference, mine was a divorce case. I am one of those people who digs and overthinks virtually everything. Point being, I called numerous attorneys. An attorney who won't return my call, is of no use to me. I have acquaintances who are attorneys. I know getting a return call from them would be iffy, despite knowing them on a personal level. Eric explained the pay schedule and what to expect. I know Eric isn't working for free, and I don't recall Eric ever not responding to my needs or concerns. Eric responded every single time. This is EXACTLY what I hoped for. I actually received more than I expected. There were situations which were not expected, but I needed them taken care of. These situations were urgent to me. Eric conveyed to me, who would do the best he could to handle it. Eric handled it perfectly to its end! I was always aware of what was needed and progress. Be patient people, you're dealing with the court system. Never forget that. In closing, I honestly could not be happier with Eric in the way he handled my case. I would vigorously recommend Eric to my best friend if he/she needed an attorney. Eric is as good as it gets!

After reading favorable reviews from Eric's clients, I hired him to file for my divorce. During the consultation, Eric thoroughly explained the process and legal fees. Eric was quick to personally contact me on status or when additional information was needed. I highly recommend Eric. He is personable, knowledgeable and honest. I interviewed three lawyers. I liked Eric right away! He is extremely intelligent, kind, & humble. He will treat you like a human with feelings. Going through divorce you will have a lot of feelings.. He ALWAYS returned my calls & emails himself. Even when he would be in court with another case, he got back to me on a break or at the end of the day. Divorce takes minimum of 6 months, so it is a lot of conversations back and forth, & Eric followed through constantly. I was very impressed with him & his ability to break down legal information so I could comprehend it. Highly recommend to contact Eric on legal matters.
