My truck had an issue in the first week, which became a recurring issue. I had the great fortune to work with Amy Sjolander. She knows the business from both sides, and knows how its going to go. She basically mapped out the next six months for me and it turned out she was right on the spot. Things went the way she said. But what really impressed me was how she increased her communication with me after we made all the agreements. The deal was done, the money was going to be paid, etc. Most attorney's would set the file aside and let things play out. I had questions and she would answer often within an hour. She even contacted me the date of the hand-over. I have worked with dozens of attorney's in my business career. She is the best attorney I've met.

My 86-year-old (at the time) father leased a brand-new 2019 Jeep Cherokee, talk about a lemon. This car was in the Jeep Chrysler service dept. more than on the road. The maintenance dept. could never find anything wrong with it, yet nothing ever worked for long. The electrical system had one problem after another, interior and exterior lights, GPS, audio, milage and gas indicators, etc. you name it, this car was a rolling disaster. However, worse than electrical problems were the steering system/rack and pinion; it was more than dangerous, this vehicle was an accident waiting to happen, and could have caused a major catastrophe not only for my Dad but to others on the road. Repeated trips to the service dept. produced no lasting results. The mechanics would tweak a little here, tweak a little there, send the car home after a week (multiple times), with no satisfactory results, this continued for well over a year. I contacted our long-time family attorney; however, she doesn’t practice lemon law so she suggested Sally Ayvazian, whom she’d personally never met but had heard of her excellent skill at resolving tough issues for vehicles still under the manufacturer's warranty that repeatedly fail to meet California standards of quality and performance. I contacted Sally immediately and she instructed we bring all the service invoices to her office. Sally assessed the large stack of accumulated repair orders then explained what California considers a substantial defect covered under an original vehicle warranty; the process to file a dispute with the manufacturer and the length of time for resolution. I will tell you, with the Pandemic and all it took a bit of time, as manufacturers hate refunding money, stalling as long as they can, but Sally kept on them and appraised us every step of the way either by phone or email; it was always a pleasure to speak with her; she’s more than pleasant, down to earth, speaking in layman terms rather than ‘lawyer talk’, and definitely knows her stuff! Neither my Dad nor I had to do anything, Sally did all the hard work and the process on our end went smooth as silk. Yesterday we surrendered the ‘lemon’ and received a check for the full amount of the down-payment as well as nearly 3 years of payments, essentially not losing a penny. AND for those worried about contacting an attorney about your ‘lemon’ falling under California's Lemon Law; consumer protection laws require the manufacturer to pay attorney fees and costs, NOT the buyer. I am more than pleased to give Sally 5-stars, she deserves each and every single star, and more!
