Brian Burns is quite possibly the best attorney on the planet. I have had numerous tickets across LA and OC for every violation under the sun, including multiple misdemeanors incl. arrests, many many front plate/exhaust fix-it tickets (thanks Irvine PD), a state-ref, unsafe lane change, carpool lane, and a bunch of speeding tickets. Brian Burns has never failed to dismiss even a single one. There is not a single point on my driving record. Even the state-ref, which I had a failure to appear for, he showed up for me and proved to the judge that I had corrected the violations and they waived all fees including the fail to appear fee. In all cases, he either fought for me vigilantly with the courts on top of knowing the right people for everything. He has given me super helpful advice as well on stopping myself from getting any more state-ref and exhaust tickets. Brian Burns is single handedly the reason that I can still be a car enthusiast in this lovely state. I recommend him to everyone I know because he's simply the best, and worth it.

Brian is an incredibly effective yet compassionate lawyer. He truly cares for his clients and goes above and beyond to help. I had two cases going on simultaneously, and even though he was paid to just help me on one of the cases-- he still helped me with the expungement of the other case even though it wasn't his responsibility! He was always available via text, call and extremely responsive. If you need lawyer you can trust to fight for you, Brian is definitely your man!

Brian Burns represented me on a serious traffic citation, ineligible for traffic school. I had a very hard time finding a lawyer I could trust. After consulting with many lawyers, I decided to retain Brian to represent me. I was extremely worried and wanted the best representation I could get. I wanted a lawyer who could really put up a fight. After two long consultations, Brian assured me that he would really fight for me. Brian was exactly the type of attorney I was searching for; an attorney who would seriously defend me. Brian clearly illustrated that he wholeheartedly cared for me and wanted to help. I spoke with Brian many times. Brian taught me many great things and provided good advice. He is an exemplary and strong traffic attorney. Brian’s experience contesting traffic offenses is evident. During my time as his client, my conversations with him uncovered diligent strategy, persuasive argumentation, and coherent expression. Brian displayed an impressive talent for communication and argumentation. This is something I admired about him, since, in court, you need an attorney with excellent communication skills. Brian listens well, responds quickly, and keeps you informed. Additionally, his pleasant character makes conversing with him an absolute joy. He's very kind, and I've had a great deal of enjoyment speaking with him. As a law student, Brian taught me valuable lessons about practicing law. Above all, Brian taught me to always remain cool, calm, and collected. I recommend that anyone looking for an attorney consult with Brian. He's a good lawyer. Thank you for everything Brian; it was a pleasure to have you as counsel.

I was charged with distribution within a state facility. Brian Burns was proactive, by the second time he even visited me while I was in ASU (hole) he went to the District Attorneys office and I'm not sure what he did but the DA rejected the case. He then wrote to the litigation department at the prison and the administrative write up was reversed and I got all my time back. The guard that was harassing me got suspended and is still under investigation. Thanks Brian. You rock.

I was referred to Anthony Saccaro to write a trust when my original attorney passed. I am so pleased. Both Paralegals made me feel so comfortable that it all was so easy to do. I was mostly impressed with their knowledge and how thorough they were about my questions and needs. I plan to refer all my friends to Anthony Saccaro's office in the future for sure!

The Saccaro law firm is stellar ! The "Best of the Best" ! I saw Attorney Saccaro yesterday for the first time to discuss preparing my Trust and Will. The staff is so kind , knowledgeable, amazing. From the moment I walked into the lovely reception area, with an in depth video by Attorney Saccaro playing, explaining every aspect of estate planning, to a table with fresh coffee, tea, cocoa, bottled water.. When I went into the conference room and met Anthony Saccaro, I was so happy, relaxed, impressed by his great demeanor, care, and experience. He knew exactly what to ask me in preparation for my Trust and Will, wrote all my answers down. He answered every question I had ,and explained every aspect of the process of creating a Trust and Will . I was so worried about this , being a senior citizen with family, and not having done this yet. All my fears were quickly gone after speaking with Anthony. He reassured me that the process was not difficult , and Lisa and Cheri his paralegals would fill out the forms as I gave them info. They were gems ! Went so smoothly, and quickly. I have to return one more time to sign finished documents. Should all be done within two weeks. I felt so wonderful after this experience I did not want to leave. lol If you want the "Very Best" in this field, the most honest, the fairest prices, the greatest peace of mind , then go to the Saccaro law firm and you will see what I mean. (I sound like an ad for them haaaa.. every single word true ! ) Am a retired school teacher, single , property owner, children and grandchildren. A++++++++++ Best experience ever ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.. thank you Anthony and team , you were a godsend for me 😊

We did our estate planning with Anthony Saccaro Law and had a pretty seamless experience. The application form was very simple, and they were able to put together all the documents for us in a well organized binder. We are happy to have completed this process through them.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Granada Hills, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
