Helene is absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend her services. This was the first time I had a will & trust written, Helene made the process so easy. Helene is extremely personable, and takes the time to explain things very thoroughly, in a way one can understand. Helene has a knack for the "what if" scenario's. She covered absolutely everything, and has left me with the confidence that should something untoward happen to me - my family will not be scrambling. As a fickler for detail, I know that I can be challenging to work with. However - Helene met me on the "Fine Detail Express" and exceeded my every expectation.

Helene is a terrific lawyer. Initially she did my trust and will that were great. I had to make a few changes last week...no problem...done in a jiffy. I also had a problem where a vendor owed me money....she sent a letter and I received my check from the vendor. I highly recommend Helene Koch Dryer.

I wish Mr. Ryder would have given me a chance to speak on my first phone call. Before I could finish saying that I am currently separated and seeking legal help, he quickly assumed I wanted legal advice via phone and said he had no time to waste. I told him I simply wanted an appointment, so we made one. Unfortunately, he made the next assumption that I would “waste” his time if I only wanted the free 30 min consultation, which I didn’t. He pretty much told me he wished to be hired on the spot. If you don’t want someone who will view you as just another case, then don’t bother with Mr Ryder. I’ll find someone more personable and unassuming.

Unfortunately I have made poor choices to represent me in the past. This time I researched carefully. Although he appears quiet and reserved he certainly not only knows family law but as methodical as he is.....beware.......Richard can put the other side in a tail spin. He works night and day including weekends, I know.... often I would get that Sunday evening call regarding my case. Not to worry........Richard has it covered. My case has been on going for almost eight years, extremely complicated not to mention a three week trial. I hired Richard two years ago I think if he were on this case in 2010 it would have been long over. He had to deal with the devil in my ex however he was prepared without hesitation. Without Mr. Houghton's legal representation and professional advice, I'm not sure what the fate of my children might have been. In an extremely difficult and sensitive custody battle, one involving alcohol abuse and domestic violence, Richard Houghton displayed his thorough knowledge of Family Law along with a clear-headed legal approach and follow-through. When I tended to become emotional over the case, Mr. Houghton was always there to calm my worries and allow me to see the situation through his methodical and professional eyes. Always aware of the urgent and unpredicable events of the case, Mr. Houghton returned my calls for advice as quickly as possible and on more than one occassion, called on his off days, over the weekend. I was finally awarded full custory of my children, and because of Richard Houghton, I no longer worry about their well-being and safety. I highly recommended Mr. Houghton for anyone going through a divorce, especially one in which children are involved.

Family law is not an area that is easy to understand and it involves a lot of emotion. Rick explained things to me in a concise and down to earth way without all the legal jargon that attorney's usually use. I was extremely pleased with the way he handled my matter and the results that he achieved. I would recommend him to anyone needing a family law attorney.
