After having started with another attorney and getting nowhere, I switched to Mr. Maggio's office. Mr. Maggio took my case after I had little faith in the system, and he got me results in the time frame he originally projected. My previous attorney had my case for over 4 years, whereas, Mr. Maggio had results and full closure in less than 1.5 years. Mr. Maggio and his team gave me hope. It is unusual but TRUE, I am giving the excellent/5-star-rating to the lawyers of my “ex”, The Law Office of Maggio in Irvine, Calif. I never met Mr. Maggio nor his staff attorney, Ms. Julie Ringquist, who primarily worked on our case. However, through the legal process, their accomplishment was remarkable, and I was very impressed. In spite of a very difficult relationship, including much mistrust, between my husband and myself, Mr. Maggio was ethically working with my “ex” for the peaceful settlement, instead of wasting money in court fighting. Day in day out, Ms. Ringquist was extremely diligent in the required legal work, extremely patient with my “ex”, and she was very thorough in her explanation and instruction at each and all my inquiries/requests. She did her utmost best to maintain peace as well. Ms. Ringquist was among the most brilliant attorneys I have met, and her writing/communication skills were excellent, and thus very efficient. She was able to figure out exactly each party’s personality and stress level, though she never met me. She was very professional and carrying out the terms for both sides. She could see through who, what, why, how and did her very best to get the divorce done. She went extra steps at the court to follow up promptly. Above all, I am most grateful for her sincere kindness, her compassion extended to me. Not a single word from her that I was not her client. I received her attention as if I were her client. Mr. Maggio is very polite during consultations, and he made me believe that he could help me with my case. I paid twice for his consultations. He said he was going to take on my case, but when I went to sign the agreement another lawyer was waiting for me. This was a meeting that Mr. Maggio agreed to and was supposed to show up at, in HIS offices. Julie Ringquest was waiting for me, who apologized for his absence and explained that she could help me. I didn't think that he would approve for anyone for a meeting in his offices who was not a part of his company. I was misled, I ended up hiring her being. She ruined my case, I lost so much time and money. She did nothing for my case; she wasted my time, money, and ruined my case. Mr. Maggio should not have been a part of misleading me. When I emailed to confront him, he completely denied that he accepted to take on my case. Then I don't see why he confirmed an appointment in his offices. He should not allow for lawyers that are not associated with him to have meetings in his offices. Steer clear, don't get tricked.
