To whom it may concern, Hello, My name is Andrew Vela. About a year ago I was in a major legal situation which put me in a tough place in life. I needed a lot of help to resolve all of these legal issues as best as I can but couldn't do it alone. And that is exactly what happened when I was introduced to my wonderful attorney Kapesh Patel. I usually don’t write reviews but this time it’s a must!! My oldest brother passed away suddenly and left no will. His next of kin is his two eldest daughters, he had a close relationship with his first daughter but lost contact with his second one. We tried everything to get ahold of her, not only to tell her of her dad’s passing but also that we needed her authorization to cremate him. The mortuary would not cremate him until we talked to her, and until we got contact with her, his body just sat at the morgue. After two weeks, the employee in charge at the mortuary asked us to file an Ex Parte with probate court. We went to the courts but were given a hard time because the court didn’t understand what we were asking for and why we needed this filed. After so many questions and conversations, the court agreed to file the document. However, they told our family it would cost over $400 AND there was still no guarantee that the judge would sign it. Finally after 3 weeks of going back and forth with the courts and the mortuary, we contacted the Law Offices of Kapesh Patel in hopes that he could help us. And I wish we could of contacted him a lot sooner (like 3 weeks sooner!). We explained to Mr.Patel our situation and he got straight to work. Within a couple of days Mr. Patel called our family and asked if we could contact the mortuary & ask if they would accept a notarized letter. The mortuary agreed, my niece got the letter notarized, and my brother was finally cremated. If it wasn’t for Mr. Patel stepping in and researching the laws on cremation and next of kin, we most likely would still be in a battle with the courts. My whole family appreciates all the assistance Mr. Patel provided to us in this most difficult time of our lives and we cannot recommend his services enough.

Sunday morning, I was released, walking on streets realizing it was the beginning of my nightmare which lies ahead. Didn’t know what to do, I was very stressed out, and felt cornered in. Few days later, a good friend of mine referred me to Kapesh Patel. I first read his reviews about him, and I didn’t second guess to give him a call. After the arraignment and was waiting for pre trial, I was dealing with suspended/later restricted license and attending classes plus AA meetings, after all that was done and completed, I was able to get my full drivers license back. Then court approach, my case was drop to wet reckless driving with just paying the fine and 3 yrs probation which was way better deal. We all make investments, but when your life is at stake, a lawyer has to be the right investment. Kapesh Patel is a lawyer I will recommend to anybody, he’s not just a lawyer who is in for the money (we all know many of those). But he’s a lawyer who will treat your case as if it were him in your shoes. He considers his clients, the needs, the stakes, the law. He does not treat his clients like an “ATM”. When I first met Kapesh, I was lost, I was sad, and I had a heavy burden realizing what I had just done. As someone who had been arrested for some serious felonies and not making the right choices in October 2013, I realized that going with a Public Defender would not serve my best interests. On the other hand, I wasn’t sure that any attorney would care and put the effort into my case; I was also scared about the fees. But when I met Kapesh Patel, not only was he interested in my case, he was understanding and made me feel at ease. He saw me as a person, not a criminal or anything else. Not only saw my situation and put himself in my shoes, but he also gave me real hope. He always kept it real, good or bad. He told me exactly what I was up against, my chances, and the outcomes. My case was tough, and in addition to serious time in prison, I was also facing deportation too. However, he still told me no matter what, I am willing to fight for you. He told me you will be “my project” and I am going to do whatever I can to fight for you. And to me, I loved the fact that Kapesh was sincere, honest, and understanding. To be blunt, I was facing 7 years behind bars, Kapesh got me 364 days and prevented me from getting an “Aggravated Felony”, which in immigration is fatal, no hope, deportation for life. I couldn’t believe he pulled it off! Now, I was facing immigration court, and I am in detention for immigration. Knowing my chances were very slim, KP being sincere and honest, still told me I will keep fighting for you and I will not leave your side. I had the serious crimes following me, but in a bond hearing, he was able to convince the judge to release me, it was not easy. And 5 years after my conviction in criminal court and 3.5 years after my immigration case started, God gave hope and good blessings today at immigration court. My ordeal has pretty much ended, and He (God) has given me Kapesh - a lawyer who has stood by my side through the good and bad. I can’t say this about everybody, but Kapesh Patel is someone I would recommend to anyone that is going to face criminal or immigration problems, cause let me tell you, KP will give it best and fight harder than you can imagine.
