We engaged Susan Oliver, Partner at White, Oliver & Amundson on very short notice. We needed a very sharp real estate attorney to step in and recoup our defense against a lawsuit where the plaintiffs/buyers were claiming non-disclosure, when it became clear that the counsel we had previously retained was not competent and was jeopardizing our defense. In just four days prior to the scheduled mediation Susan quickly got up to speed and prepared an exemplary Mediation Brief including citing pertinent civil code and case law in counterpoint to the complaint as filed. At the mediation meeting Susan presented professionally and assertively, and maintained momentum while negotiating to where we won a 65% reduction in damages. Further, she determinedly pursued the homeowner’s insurance claim and negotiated a full settlement with the insurance company for payment of damages and fees.
