Prior to speaking to Hass I was experiencing challenges in an negotiation. Hass walked me through his unique process and I was able to see the value in the reflective nature of his Negotiation Primer. His approach allows you to really reflect on the best way to approach your situation for the most easeful and smooth outcome. He helps you to see and manoeuvre those pieces on the chess board. He is definitely the legal consultant you want to speak to, his clarity and insight into your situation is the best use of your resources and incredible value. Thank you Hass for your all your support throughout my case, I’m incredibly grateful for everything you have done.

Prior to hiring Hass as our legal representative,we had been struggling for months just to establish a communication line with our landlord in the hope of resolving all the commercial real estate issues impacting our business negatively, but to no amend as all of our attempts were malignantly avoided or rudely ignored. Hass came on board at the end of October 2019, and negotiated a lease termination in about 10 weeks. Hass is ABSOLUTYELY the legal negotiator you want on your side as he will: - first educate you on all the legal risks and liabilities linked to your case, and hence empower you to make the right decision for your business, -secondly put in place a negotiation strategy to come to an as amicable as possible resolution of your business conflict, before engaging in any lengthy and potentially expensive Court endeavor. Hass did exactly that for us, and more.Hass will not give you false hopes, but will lay out the different scenario available to you, and he will be on your side all the way till the resolution. He is always a phone call away in any doubts, and remains true to his words till the end. We not only HIGHLY recommend him, we endorse him and will keep working with him in our future legal business negotiations. Thank you Hass!

Life has a way of connecting you with what you need, when you need it. I had a very unique opportunity to start a consulting business as I already had the client and just needed the assistance with the setup. Not only was Hass there to take care of the business formation, operating agreement and consulting agreement, he kept me informed and educated every step of the way per my request. I know the educational part is not for everyone but I couldn’t have appreciated it more. He even accelerated the process so I could start working with my client immediately. It’s hard to find words to express my gratitude and appreciation for everything Hass has done for me. I highly recommend his services and you can find out yourself what a trustworthy, intelligent, passionate attorney he is.

Good afternoon, I am consulting with a new Trial Attorney next couple days, and require an additional courtesy extension of one month for my pending Discovery Responses. I was fortunate to have consulted with Hass Sadeghi a local SD attorney that referred me to Mr. David Munoz with Mission Legal Center, who will consider taking over my case. Since there are no pressing Trial deadlines, I trust that your office will grant this courtesy extension. Thank you for your consideration in advance.

I consulted with Hassan about my business mission and needs. He helped me bring in the emotional aspect of my services as a CPA. His advice on connecting with my clients on an emotional level has been instrumental to the growth of my tax practice.

Mr. Lucero is truly top shelf when it comes to supporting and caring for his clients. Thanks to his exceptional efforts, I was able to present a phenomenal case that worked in my favor. His due diligence was outstanding, and he brought a human touch to every conversation we had. I will definitely turn to him again in the future. If I ever need him, I hope I never need to—but if I do, I'm glad to know he's there.

Julianne is a rockstar attorney who is well versed in family law and truly cares about her client's well being. She was often appointed minor's counsel by judges in our courthouse--so she is evidently reliable and trusted. Julianne was always kind to me and understood what it was like to be both a victim and a witness to abuse. She walked me through the process of court and how to mentally prepare for trial. There's not much prepping to do if you're just telling the truth, but court is just so emotionally taxing in general so it was nice to receive that extra support from her. Julianne and her team always kept me up to date and sent over documents to review and sign in a timely manner to ensure a speedier trial. She will fight for you in court because she is passionate about family law and empathizes with her clients. She won me my domestic violence restraining order (and eventual renewal of my DVRO) against my abuser and sole physical custody of my son. I highly recommend Julianne and her team with your DV and/or custody case.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of La Verne, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
