I tried to be the best father that I could be. Offering love, guidance and being personally involved are my strongest traits. Even so, my son struggled in the classroom setting. My son was tested and an IEP was put in place. For 2 years, things kept getting worse. I was referred to Moore Law and contacted Meldie and Joanna. It turns out that I was handicapped by what I did not know and/or how to work with the school district to gain the best results. It turns out that there is so much that can be done. In a short time, Joanna had everything going in a positive direction. My son said he did not need to be in Special Ed classes, he just needed the right structure and setting. His grades have gone from all F's to a 3.46 GPA within less than 4 months. I am thankful that the school district agreed to do everything the lawyers asked of them however, my son would continue to be in an ugly place to this day if I had not engaged with Moore Law. I reached out to Christina during a moment of extreme crisis after my ex-partner had filed for a specious restraining order against me, got denied, and still moved out of the state with our children without informing me. I went through a divorce this year. Even though my now ex-wife and I decided to use a mediator, I wanted my own attorney to navigate me through the process and to ensure I was being represented fairly. I hired Christina upon the glowing recommendation from friends who had hired her to mediate their divorce. On the very first phone call, I relaxed knowing I had found the very best consultant possible. Christina is incredibly smart and knowledgeable and kept me 100% aware of my rights under California law as she guided me through the divorce process. She read through and explained all of my divorce paperwork and court documents up to the final agreement and court filing. I signed every single document knowing I was protected. My divorce was a nightmare of complexity. I had trouble finding a lawyer with both the experience and willingness to take it on. After consulting with several attorneys I was referred to More Law For Children and Christina Maranhao. After the consultation I knew immediately I had the right firm to handle the divorce and child custody for my case. Christina and her team were professional and experienced in all of the matters I was concerned about. As time went on and unexpected things arose they were prepared at every step. Things took a while. I mention that because I initially worried things would get forgotten or fall through the cracks. This was not the case. Evey communication was as if we had just spoken about things. Christina really kept on top of things and made me feel as if I were her only client. Her strength is definitely perfect follow through and relentless attention to detail. I needed this to offset my tendency to put things off until the last minute. Life sucked during the quarantine and divorce, so thank goodness Christina had enough focus, resolve, and fortitude for all of us. I also thought billing was fair. My other experiences with attorneys have not been such, so it was a relief to have things come in at or below the estimate and have invoices outlining everything. I hope I never need Christina again, but for anyone in a tough divorce and child custody situation, it is a relief to have her in your corner.

This review is a LONG TIME COMING. Unfortunately, it's all too common to need a family law practitioner at some point in your life. I cannot recommend this office and these Christina ENOUGH. I had an extremely difficult case a few years ago and to this very day I'm still stunned about not only their professionalism but their tenacity, knowledge, compassion, strength and determination to fight for me and all of their clients. Christina was absolutely incredible. She was unbelievable! Mind you, my son's father is a millionaire. Not just on paper. Millions liquid. Compared to him I'm poverty stricken. Christina, in collaboration with Sahar Douraghy, were fair in fees and won my case against some heavy hitting attorneys that worked for my son's father! These women didn't even bat an eye! They not only won my case but fed the defense some of their "own." They made me feel like I was family and fought for me as if I WERE IN FACT family. I will NEVER go to any other attorney should I ever need help again. If you just give them an opportunity and go in for a consult, you will walk out feeling like everything for once, is going to be just fine. Thank you, ladies!
