Mr. Flaxman worked with me to reverse the city of Oakland's decision to add a special Vacant Property Tax to my property. He took all of my input into consideration and wrote a detailed letter of rebuttal that was attached to my Petition of Vacancy and submitted to support the fact that my property was, in fact, "in use" rather than Vacant for more than enough days to be classified as not Vacant by definitions in Oakland's municipal code. Mr. Flaxman's letter was key to approval of my Petition of Vacancy, and his fee was totally covered by my legal insurance policy.

Scott has done an incredible job in leading my husband I through a complicated lawsuit. There were numerous issues in our recent home purchase that were missed through the home inspection and not declared in the seller’s disclosures. Scott provided pros and cons for different options and ways to proceed with the lawsuit. Thanks to a solid and strongly written outline Scott prepared for us, we were able to reclaim our damages through Small Claims court. We can’t speak highly enough about Scott’s expertise and professionalism. He is quick to respond and follow up on items and we strongly recommend working with him.
