Richard Poland helped me through one of the most difficult and stressful times in my life. It was a long and drawn out alleged DUI case. Richard was very genuine, compassionate, and had realistic expectations. It was very reassuring to know that he made every effort to resolve my case in my favor. I am extremely grateful that given my specific circumstances, he was able to win my case and protect my record from receiving a DUI. As a knowledgeable attorney, he keeps current with the law and legal issues, and I am convinced that anyone who makes the sound decision to choose Richard Poland as their representative will have no regrets!

I've never had services from Velasco Law Group, but I did contact their law office in Long Beach, CA sometime in early May 2016 for a free consultation. I recently checked their website and it appears they no longer offer free consultations. Although someone from their office did contact me by phone within 24 hours after submitting my inquiry through the Velasco Law Group website, they never made good on the free consultation offered at the time. It went something like this - the first attorney recommended by the young lady on the phone could not find a date and time that worked for both the attorney (think is was Paul Velasco) and my schedule. She then recommended another attorney named Dana Cannon. Based on what the young lady said about Dana it appeared to be a better fit for my situation. The young lady said she would call me back once she confirmed Dana’s availability. The next day I called the law group because I had not yet heard back from the young lady about Dana’s availability. The young lady that I spoke with the day before answered the phone. She told me she spoke with Dana Cannon, but Dana believed it was best for me to see an attorney located in Fontana, CA because I had mentioned my mother who permanently resides in Los Angeles County was temporarily in a facility located in Fontana, CA. The young lady provided me with the name and telephone number of another law firm in Fontana that Dana suggested I contact, but she could not tell me if they offered free consultations. Again, this is what I was seeking from the Velasco Law Group - a free consultation about the legalities involving my elderly mother’s situation! I asked the young lady to please go back to Dana and explain driving to Fontana from Long Beach (my permanent residence) for a free consultation was not feasible and that my mother would be returning to her home in Los Angeles County. This was the last I ever heard from the young lady or anyone at the Velasco Law Group. To say the least, I was very disappointed with Velasco Law Group for not following through on their offer at the time for a free consultation.

I feel like 5 stars isn't enough for what Richard Poland did for me. I hired Richard for a DUI case last year and he helped me more than I could ever imagine. Having Richard as my lawyer gave me a sense of peace because I knew I had chosen the best. From the first meeting with Richard I knew I had put my case into the right hands. If you find yourself in trouble , give Richard Poland a call. I guarantee you will not be disappointed because he's the best at what he does.

RIch Poland is the most honest, hard working lawyer you'll find. No, I don't work for him, nor am I a member of his family. Although I do now think of him as a friend to our family. I first met rich several years ago as a desperate parent trying to navigate the nightmare of the legal system when my teenager was arrested and charged with a very serious crime. I was terrified when I got the call. I was 500 miles away and had no way to communicate with my child to find out what was going on. Rich calmed me down and promptly went to see my child, less than an hour after I first called his office. He was able to let my child know that I had been in touch and was on my way. This was before any discussion of fees are payment of any kind. It was simply what needed to happen and he just did it, right then and there. Sadly, it would a lengthy battle to get my son home and his record cleared but we did it. Poland was there every step of the way. Throughout the ordeal he was always available by phone and usually in person most any evening. He explained what was going on and listened to a lot of questions from this worried mom. His rates were far more reasonable than any attorney I am aware of and most importantly his heart is in the job. He is smart and efficient and will give you good advice that takes into account the specifics of your particular case. I am so grateful to know of a 'Good Lawyer' that I can refer people to. I highly recommend Rich Poland should you ever find yourself or a loved one in need of an attorney.
