Thank you Zack for helping me with my brother's case! We weren't sure where today would take us, but it turned out to be the best thing ever. What an early birthday gift for me to have my brother be home with his family, with me, and most of all to continue his care for our mother. His charges were dropped except one with "NO jail time." If you need an attorney that bills you $4,568.10 for reading your emails then hire this attorney. If you need an attorney who asks for a retainer fee of $4,000.00, then spend another $568.10 without telling you, then hire this attorney. If you need an attorney who spends $4,568.10 of your money, then ask for another $2,000.00, then hire this attorney. Be aware, be aware when you sign with this attorney. Here's the last sentence of the Retainet Agreement: "When the amount of money in the trust account goes below $1,000 remaining, then CLIENT must replenish the retainer with a payment between $,1500 and $2,500." Be aware of this sentence. They will spend your money in the trust as fast as they can, then ask you for more. The date of hire was June 1, 2022, for a TRO case filed against me On June 6, 2022, I completed filling up Form MC-025 Reason to Disagree with the TRO and emailed it right away to McCready. Since then, I have requested him to show me his response to the TRO but to no avail, I have not received any. The first hearing of the case was on June 9, 2022, and McCready was a No Show. It was postponed to June 29. On that day of June 29, he requested the Court to subpoena the Police report and to continue the hearing to Aug 5, 2022. It was here that I had misgivings in hiring McCready. I called the Police Dept and ask about the Police report. I was told there was no report written and advised to contact the Police Officer who is responsible for it. And I did. The Police Officer told me there was no need for a Police Report. All that is needed is a Police Card that they routinely fill up during their watch. McCready never tried to find out whether there is a Police Report coming. If he did, there was no reason to postpone the case. Then on June 6, 2022, McCready ask for another $2K over the $4K initial deposit. I fired an e-mail telling him to stop working on my case until I’ve seen the billing and the cost of their services. I was shocked when I received the bill. It was $4,568.10! $568.10 over the $4,000 Deposit. Talking about overbilling! So right then and there I decided to terminate their services and never regretted it for a minute. So, what to do? I hired another attorney with half the fee that McCready retained. Guess what? Today the judge dismissed the case in favor of me!
