I had a terrible experience at work that made me feel like needed legal advice after I had already filed several grievances and complaints with my company's HR department. I felt like I had a legal case from one of the experiences, so I reached out to several law firms. Smith Law was the first to answer my call and at the same the lawyer Benjy Smith called me to schedule time to hear details of my potential case. This showed me that Benjy took a genuine interest in understanding and helping new clients. We planned a call for the next day (Saturday at 3pm) and he called me as planned and heard every detail of my situation. I was advised that I did NOT have a case, but it was very good news because some lawyers take a retainer and consult fee knowing you don't have a strong case. Mr. Smith was very honest and did not request any fees. He helped me to understand why I did not have a case and the problem that I would encounter if I pursued a lawsuit against my job. He offered advice about what I should write in the letter to upper management, and I agree that this was the best option for my situation. If you want a lawyer you can trust to give you real advice about your situation then you should call Smith Law. I feel that this was a very positive experience. I have saved my time and money by NOT pursuing a lawsuit against my ob. I was advised to write a very professional, yet candid letter to my CEO and to find a new job and that is what I did! I am grateful for this experience and for Benjy Smith taking the time to help me understand my problem and how to move forward.
