Alec Rose turned out to be a true blessing in my life. I knew nothing about Title IX investigations. I doubt if any lawyer in America could have handled my case better than he did. He saved my job and my sanity. Thank you so much, Alec! I am forever grateful.

I found this firm via their reviews online. From my very first call I felt that I had a coach and mentor to take me through the whole process. This turned out to be quite the case. I was prepped and encouraged at every step of the process. Getting a DUI is not a joke, and without such encouragement, understanding, and expertise, I doubt I'd have gotten the results I did. I can say with all honesty that Gold and Witham made a very painful and serious issue, seem manageable and not the end of the world. Indeed they encouraged it to be a new beginning. I highly recommend you give them call if you are ever in need of a DUI defense team.

Alec Rose is a phenomenal worker. He works effectively and treats all of his clients with the utmost respect and understanding. I have no complaint. He stood with me every step of the way, and has continued to stay in touch with me until this day. 5 out of 5 stars seems like a mere limitation when describing Mr. Rose's efficiency and discipline. Mr. Rose gets to know his clients on a personal level and moves to business from there on; of course he remains a friend through the process and afterwards as well. He replies to emails, calls, and text messages in a timely manner, a trait that is hard to come by in most people working in the professional world. I only have words of praise for Alec Rose.

Alec was a perfect choice for my situation. I was confronted with what I felt was a legally spurious charge that had enormous implications for my job, up to and including termination. So I was extremely fraught and interviewed many possible advisors before settling on Alec. He was very rational, calm, and supportive throughout. He had an exceptional framework for approaching interviews and responding to questions, and I felt that he had a crystal ball and was able to anticipate things (including some "gotcha" tactics) that are commonly employed by interviewers. I felt extremely prepared and he was always imminently reachable. I can't recommend him highly enough. Stop reading and just give him a call.

I was arrested for my first DUI a few months ago. At the time I was completely freaked out, panicked, ashamed, didn't know how I was going to get through this. I started researching online and figured out quickly that I would need to hire an attorney. The reviews for Gold & Witham definitely stood out from the rest. I think I called on a Sunday afternoon and was not expecting anyone to pick up, but Jeff Gold himself answered the call! It was the only call I had to make. He was honest and direct from the very first call, did not try and sugar coat anything or make any promises about my outcome, which I appreciated. I had a BAC of .19, had run a red light and had been driving with no lights on at night. I was facing jail time, Caltrans work/community service, high penalty fees, anywhere from 6-18 month DUI program, and a suspended license for a long time. He told me there would be a lot of work to do on my part: keep an attendance sheet of AA meetings (at least 40, although I ended up doing 110), two character references, one letter from myself to the court, and a psychology evaluation. It wasn't easy, in fact it was quite stressful for me - all of those things were well outside of my comfort zone. But he called every week to check-in, give me the latest status of my case, and hammered in the importance of what I was doing. Week over week, there was a shift somewhere and I started to feel better. The AA meetings were actually helping. I was sober and can honestly say I felt my life improve. I was even promoted at work during all of this! When my day in court finally came, all of the hard work paid off. He got the high BAC charge removed and I ended up with a 30 day license suspension, 5 month ignition interlock device for my car, and a 3 month DUI program. There was a fee of $1900, which he got cut in half. No jail time, no community service, no other mandatory programs or meetings. The judge even commended me at the end for all of the work I was doing to try and better myself. I could not believe it. In the end I realize I needed to do all of this work, not only for my case, but for myself. I've personally gained so much from this experience and know it's due in part to Mr. Jeff Gold's guidance and method. I'm so grateful and cannot recommend him or his firm highly enough! He's got your back and wants to help you if you want to help yourself. If you listen to him, follow his lead, and be open to the process, very good things will come from an otherwise horrible situation that you only want to find yourself in once.

Our son was accused of sexual violence in a Title IX case at his university. Fortunately, we hired Mr. Alec Rose to assist him and we are truly blessed that we did. He was an excellent advisor. convinced me to file a chapter 13. She then locked me into a high monthly payment of $475.00 for three years. Because I failed to make all the payments on time to the trustee my case was dismissed. I kept telling her $475.00 was too high and not to do it and she did it anyway. She wanted me to file a chapter 13 because she gets give or take about $4000.00 more give or take. She doesn't communicate with you very well and her assistant Chris fails to relay important messages you give him. Now I have I start all over again all because this lady wanted a little extra I her pocket. Because of her I've lost about $3000 give or take...She is a shady person and should not be practicing law! I am filing complaints to the state bar and the attorney general. Its been a little over a year since my bankruptcy was charged off due to mrs. Berelianis dishonest business practices and my new lawyer not only confirmed she was being shady in trying to get me to file a chapter 13....but told me i did qualify for a chapter 7. This lawyer will try to get you to file a chapter 13 telling you that you do t qualify for a 7. so she can make more money off you. Im not writing this review only because im upset i got scammed... but because i wish to let others know that she is shady and NOT TO BE TRUSTED! I got set back a year plus because of her! And finally found a trustworthy lawyer who is helping me. Dont be beguiled by this lady!!!! Please!

Hiring Alec was probably one of the most consequential decisions I ever made in my life. Title IX investigations are tricky to navigate, and when my case began I was both confused and panicked. He was compassionate, and the fact that he cared about having a just outcome was important to me. Alec guided me through every single detail of the Title IX process, from how to explain my account and choice of witnesses up to how precisely to word my emails with the Title IX office. I think it's safe to say that Alec saved my career while I was going through a very dark time in my life, and I would recommend him without question to anyone involved in a Title IX investigation. Alec's deep knowledge of the investigation process is helpful in these cases, but even more than that, he has a wealth of experience and knows exactly how the investigators think about the process. In particular, if you are going through a Title IX investigation in California, you should contact Alec because of his experience with the universities in the state.

Alec was exceptionally willing to make time for phone, email, and text conversations. His counsel was always thoughtful and specific. He understood university dynamics and the particular sensitivities of academics in my field. He retained information I gave him - and this is challenging, when the information is complex. He was caring and even willing to have an off-line conversation about recent related events in the news. I give Alex my highest unqualified recommendation.

As a parent of an accused child, I felt hopeless and I didn't know where to turn to make sure my child was being treated fair. Although I still don't believe that the accused are treated fairly, I was beyond grateful to have had Alec on our side.
