I hired Gold & Witham shortly after my DUI arrest in April 2013. I was charged with a DUI refusal, with a speeding enhancement. I spoke with Jeff Gold on the phone for 45 minutes, and once I understood their approach I was sold. Even though I was quoted lower fees with other attorneys, I understand the concept of getting what you pay for. I also knew that paying a little more for the attorney would likely save me more money in the long run (court costs, auto insurance, etc). He explained that his job wasn't just to get a 'good outcome' on my case, but to also make sure that I attend AA meetings and become a better person from this experience. This way, the court can see that you are honestly trying to improve yourself and they can be more forgiving. When I first started looking for DUI lawyers, I thought I wanted an aggressive lawyer to 'fight for me'. Now that I understand how over-burdened the judicial system is, it makes sense to hire a lawyer that will push you to become a better person and then demonstrate that humbly to the court. Why fight a system that is already so overworked? In only rare cases would that make sense. Attorneys like Jeff Gold make the prosecutor's job easier - which allows the judicial system (as a whole) to flow better. I saw that today, when we went to court and my DUI/refusal charge got reduced to a wet reckless. I still have the DMV hearing next month, which I will need to win in order to keep my license. But I know that I am in great hands with Gold & Witham.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Mr. Gold, or a better outcome to my case. I hired Jeff Gold to represent my daughter for a DUI charge. He doesn't coddle his clients... he makes them be accountable and change their outlook and turn their life around. Although my daughter had two priors, he had her placed in a live in treatment facility where she is clean and dealing with her problems instead of being in jail like before and not having the skills to be sober. If you, or a loved one, will respond to a lawyer who will insist on getting clean and change, then he is the guy for you. If you are not willing to work hard at going to meetings or treatment, then he won't represent you, so don't bother calling him. He is one of a kind, a DUI lawyer with integrity, and the judges know it! My daughter is finally on the road to recovery and we have Jeff Gold to thank!

Mr. Gold has made a difference in my life.. I was facing my first (and only) DUI, I had a lawyer before I found Gold & Witham who really didn't seem to care about me or my case. But thankfully I did find Mr. Gold because if I had not I don't know what position I would be in right now. He was very helpful explained everything to me and made sure I understood every thing that was going on in my case. He was always easy to get a hold of, which was a nice change, even if I wasn't able to get to him he would always called me back with in an hour or with in the day. He also called me every Friday to make sure I knew everything that was going to happen with my case. He made this horrible thing in my life so much easier and less stressful. I'm so glad I did find him and he had me do extra work of my own that helped my case so much and really made me think about ever doing this again. Facing my third DUI conviction was frightening for me! I know I couldn't of done this alone. From the beginning I knew that going with Gold & Witham would be a wise choice due to the first conversation with Mr. Gold. Not only did Mr. Gold sound confidante and sincere, but he was the only lawyer I spoke with that gave me several options to help my case and to help myself! I was facing 365 days jail, I know I couldn't even begin to think of serving this time without it destroying my life. When I spoke with Mr. Gold over the phone I immediately felt that he was the right attorney. He spoke to me at length. He was in no hurry and patiently answered all my questions. He provided guidance and weekly updates. He fully prepared me to be able to meet the courts expectations. I found him to be both a knowledgeable attorney and a truly caring person who made a big difference in my life during this difficult time. He never sugar-coated anything. The focus is on showing your good character, that your DUI was a mistake and you wont be back with another one. Some work is involved on your part, which Jeff Gold completely laid out to me before I decided to hire them. It may seem like a lot at first, but its not bad at all. Believe when I say if you do what they ask, you will get results. Also, and most imporantly, through this experience I have realized a lot about myself and truely feel I have come out of this a better person. Jeff Gold took my case, and he is very knowledgable with wealth of experience. Someone always answers the phone, and if they aren't available you WILL get a call back. Plus, they call you once a week for updates on the work you've been doing, and will answer any questions you have. I had a DUI with a refusal and Jeff was able to get it reduced to a wet reckless, which is a FAR better result than I expected. A DUI is not a great experience, but I came away from this better for it thanks to Jeff Gold. Totally worth it.

I recently helped a friend find a law firm to represent him for a DUI charge. He was charged with DUI and with Refusal to submit to an alcohol test even though he did give a breath test and agreed to a blood alcohol test which was never given. I spoke with several law firms and attorneys before and after speaking with Mr. Gold and Gold and Witham. Mr. Gold was straightforward and honest. The other lawyers tried to scare me into retaining them by repeating the worst that could happen to my friend. They all spoke of fighting in court to prove the charges wrong. Mr Gold aggressively outlined all that could happen, including the worst, but then outlined his philosophy and plan to obtain the best outcome possible. His plan worked although it required commitment and hard work by my friend before his arraignment. Mr Gold phoned twice a week without fail to check on his progress and to keep him informed. The hard work he required paid off. Mr. Gold was able to get the Refusal dismissed and the DUI reduced to a wet reckless.
