Back in July of this year I made the terrible mistake of having too many drinks and getting behind the wheel to drive. I was arrested for my second dui in 9 years. (I did not learn from my mistake the first time around) I was terrified of the consequences and really did not know what to do. I began searching for lawyers and then I came across Gold & Witham. I called late one night and Mr. Gold himself answered! I immediately liked his style and approach. I felt comfortable with hiring him and taking this journey. I can honestly say that I am not the same person that I was just 5 months ago. Mr. Gold asked a lot of me and I did everything that he asked me to do. Yes it required a lot of AA meetings but in the end it really helped me, more than I ever imagined. I went in to court facing a 2nd offense DUI charge and came out with a reduction in charges to a wet reckless. The prosecutor said that I picked a good lawyer and I could not have agreed more! I highly recommend Attorney Jeff Gold.

I will try and keep this short, sweet and to the point. I unfortunately made a mistake that changed my life and those around me. I decided to get behind the wheel after having a few drinks. I was in an accident and injured the victim. Because of this I was charged with a Felony DUI and taken to jail. I am grateful that I have such supportive parents that would bail me out of jail and see me through this every step of the way. While my father and brother were waiting for me to be released from jail, they were looking up different attorneys; that is when they came across Mr. Jeffrey Gold and Mr. Nigel Witham. Without knowing much about DUIs, but knowing we had to make a decision quick, my father called Gold & Witham because of the online reviews. The day I was released from jail, we went straight to meet with Mr. Witham. After speaking with Mr. Witham, he felt that Mr. Gold would better suit my needs because I was charged with a Felony DUI. After meeting Mr. Gold and discussing my case, I followed up with a phone call a few days later. Per my phone call, it was clear Mr. Gold did not think highly of me....this is because he is about character, hard work, trust and diligence, and in a nutshell, he did not believe I had it in me to work the case his way-but I had to prove not only to him, but to my family that I had everything in me to work hard and do what I needed to do to fix the mess I was in. Mr. Gold is tough, but please don't be frightened, it is for your own good! Every case is different but he will demand a plethora of AA meetings for you to attend immediately (I completed 70 AA meetings in 6 weeks), letters of character, a therapy session and some sort of community service or additional program for you to complete. No, what he will ask you to do is not court ordered, but wouldn't you rather not have it be court ordered? What he asks you to do may seem like tasks, but they're not. He is setting you up to put you in the best position you could be in before you walk in front of the judge on your big day, oh and be sure you come dressed to court in a suit and tie, or ladies, in your suit and heels! Both Mr. Gold and Mr. Witham prepare their clients for war and they are with you every step of the way through the battle field. You will not go a week without talking to your attorney. Mr. Gold called me every week, Thursday or Friday, to touch base with me about my case, what he was doing on my behalf, and the work he needed me to complete. My outcome? Let's just say I should be in jail right now instead of writing this review, and yes, this was my first and last offense. The Felony DUI 22153 I started out with was dropped to a Misdemeanor 22153, which was later dropped to a Misdemeanor 22152. After 70 AA meetings, letters of character, therapy and making a PSA, I am now only charged with completing a three month alcohol along with a fine and a five month ignition interlock. I got a DUI in July 2013. I call Gold & Witham and Im glad I did. I spoke with Mr Jeffrey Gold and I knew that he was who I wanted to represent me in court. Gold & Witham was discovered, researched and eventually recommended to me by my best friend when I had gotten myself into some serious trouble. I had just been arrested for my first ever DUI and my world was shaken. I didn't know where to start and, financially, things were definitely not in my favor. My best friend was pulled over for a DUI about two and a half months ago, and although these circumstances did not fall upon me directly, I feel compelled to say some things about Mr. Gold: Firstly, I took the initiative to contact the firm, and it was at that point I realized Mr. Gold was cut from a different cloth. I have dealt with many attorneys, but never have I heard someone talk about "motivation" and "character" with regards to choosing their clients. This indicated to me that Mr. Gold is not only dedicated to the legal process, but also bettering his clients as a whole. His approach to dealing with the prosecution is one of acceptance, not resistance, and I must say it is absolutely brilliant. My friend has excavated deep within himself, and Mr. Gold was alongside him throughout the entire process. Those lessons extend far beyond the success Mr. Gold achieved in our case.

As a recent DUI offender who retained Mr. Gold's services, here is what you need to know: 1. He has over 20 years of law practice and specializes in DUI cases only. 2. He knows the in-and-outs of every court system in LA. When I saw him refer to the prosecutors and court personnel on a first name basis, and see that his presence is respected -- you know you can't go wrong. 3. He genuinely cares about you and what you are going through. He always explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions/concerns. I don't know any other attorney that would take extra time out to explain trivial things like what's the best way to get to the courthouse and where to park. 4. Unlike other attorneys that may upsell you services or convince you to take it to trial just so they can get more money from you, Mr. Gold seems very honest and will provide you with realistic costs that you can expect up front. His services are definitely not cheap, however. If you want cheap, go somewhere else and you'll get cheap. 5. He will put in 110% for you as long as you put in 110% for "yourself". You have to demonstrate to the court that you understand where you went wrong and what steps you are taking to prevent this from happening again. Mr. Gold can guide you in this process and put your efforts in the best possible spotlight. Remember this is about your life and everything that this affects as result of your actions. If you are serious about correcting the course and get the best (but realistic) outcome, Mr. Gold is who i recommend.

I highly recommend Nigel Witham as an attorney. He accepted a very challenging case of mine that took months to resolve due to continuances by the court. During that time he was always readily available to discuss my case. He would also genuinely listen to and evaluate any input or suggestions that I had. Where do you begin once you are released from jail after a DUI arrest? You are feeling 'raw' and vulnerable and very confused as to where to turn for help. After reading about everything that you need to go through next, we knew we needed to hire my husband an attorney. Where do you find a good one? One that will really help you? Many years ago I was a potential juror in a DUI case in Newport Beach and I remember the attorneys as being very 'slick' and 'sleazy.' In what was the most troubling time of my life, Jeff Gold guided me through it all. His weekly calls were always on time and thorough, but more importantly he was available 24/7 to hold my hand through this difficult process. I met Mr Gold in 2004 through a friend at work, I had a 2nd Dui and Mr. Gold got me 4 days home arrest, I thought it wasn't a serious matter until I got a 3rd DUI. Now, I'm looking at jail time, possibly losing my job and the embarrassment with my family and friends.
