"Free legal services" should not be synonymous to trashy or run-around advice and services. I had called their 800 number in the past, but today, I went to their office in person (1640 N Street, Suite 200, Merced, CA) with all my documents, thinking that it would be more efficient, and that I can be helped much better than over the phone--total waste of time and money, and employees are either not sophisticated or uninformed (my polite way of saying they don't seem to know what they're doing). A short, aged man handed me a piece of paper (quarter size of a letter-sized copy paper) which states the number to call, followed by "...to apply for services..." Prior to that, he tried to help, but after all the nonsense talk (nonsense, because he kept asking to see my documents and then say afterwards that he's not equipped to help after reading my documents) and repetitive information he already said and I already know (which goes to "waste of time"), he affirmed that I really just need to call the number he's given me, and that coming to their office is not needed. And oh, if you call the number, they will ask for all your personal information first (including social security number) before you can even be helped.

Legal sham from federal government claiming I’m too rich: too high an income and too many properties to qualify for representation. Socialism like this is taking the country down the tubes.
