After getting not just a dui but dui with injury, I thought my life was over. But Ms Julie will do everything she can for you. When I first emailed her my situation, she called me back instantly. For sure I made the right decision in hiring them as my lawyers. It was a really long process, but in that process she will always make sure that I always understood everything that was going on. I was scared/depress and she reassured me that everything will be ok. If I had question not only I could reach her In the office but also she has a cell phone number I could call. Finally at the end, the injury part was dropped and only charged with dui, which was really a blessing because of the current situation I had with my job. My drivers license is not revoked for a year, that would have been a nightmare for if it was. I am not good in expressing myself in words but all in all I just wanna say thank you for everything that my lawyers have done for me.

I contacted Julie initially when I realized I needed help through a situation involving an accusation of welfare fraud and perjury. I consulted with her and she gave me honest advice as to what expect and left the door open for any further question. I ended up hiring Ms. Crawford and it was the best choice I made through this really hard time. She was able to get the charges reduced and felony charges dropped completely. Through the entire process, she remained in communication with me, explaining what was going to happen, walking with me to and from court and standing by my side in the court room. Out of the lawyers I consulted with, she was the one who was positive and confident of a positive outcome for my situation. Through the entire process, she was compassionate and supportive. If you find yourself in a situation needing help, I would HIGHLY recommend contacting the Crawford Law Firm. I cannot thank Julie Crawford enough for helping me through this.

We live in LA and our son who is in college in Monterey got intoxicated and walked into the neighbor's campus house. (They were all friends) The neighbor's were not home. Our son was hungry and started making a grilled cheese sandwich and was standing there holding some of the neighbor's possessions when she arrived home. He had no intent to steal. The neighbor had no problem and sent my son home. When she told her boyfriend on the phone, he called the police. Our son was sent to jail for 15 days and charged with a felony. He was given a Public Defender (PD) who urged our son to take the felony.
Salinas area has a 98% incarceration rate.
Our college son's future was at stake. What started out with a college drunk evening was escalating into a serious charge.
We are in LA, CA. 300 miles away and worried sick.
For a year our son appeared in court with his court appointed PD who urged him to take the felony and was very perturbed when our son stated he would not accept that charge.
He accepted his consequences in this situation, but felt a felony was too harsh of a sentence. The PD wanted to label our son something that he wasn't. Our son was getting lost in the legal system.
After a year the PD stated, "take the felony, if you go to trial you will probably get a felony and a strike".
Our son stated that in his heart he did not deserve this verdict and would find other representation.
I went online and started calling and interviewing each lawyer in the Salinas/Monterey area.
JULIE CRAWFORD was rated the highest of all. After speaking with many lawyers, it was so obvious that JULIE CRAWFORD was the very best. So pointed out legalities and information no one else saw. She believed in our son and felt that this case was a misdemeanor.
JULIE CRAWFORD never dropped the ball. After 6 months our son's case was dropped to a misdemeanor. (without going to trial) He was charged w/ Petty Theft/Burglary! And it can be expunged in 3 years!
Everybody has a right to be defended. But, you need to find the right lawyer who believes in you and will fight for you.
Writing this in Gratitude for JULIE CRAWFORD!
If you need legal help, have the courage to take the first step~ don't settle~ call JULIE CRAWFORD.
It's never too late.
Believe in yourself. Be persistent.
And find a lawyer who feels the same way about your case.
A BIG THANK YOU to JULIE CRAWFORD
(our son is finishing college and has a bright future now!)

In July of 2014 I went into my neighbor's college dorm house drunk & looking for food & more liquor. The police charged w/ a residential burglary which is a felony strike.
I spent 2 weeks in jail, a year w/ a
Court appointed public defender.
Even after a year going to AA meetings, no problems w/ the law and providing multiple documents showing my true honest character the court still would not reduce my charges.
With my only option of a felony on my record, I hired Julie Crawford.
She was able to reduce my charges w/out a trial to a misdemeanor ( petty theft / burglary).
Now I am finishing college and going on with my life as a responsible citizen.
She was a great attorney & I highly recommend her!
Thanks Julie Crawford.

I ran into an unusual case that I needed someone in the field to fight for me. And that's exactly what she did. I'm grateful for her because she believed in me and went beyond her means to help me. It was a victory case and my innocence is restored again. And that's priceless.

Julie Crawford was a godsend during such an awful time. I am a mother and have my own business. When I was thrown into jail by the Monterey police and treated like a criminal, I couldn't even begin to accept what was happening. On the way back to my hotel after dinner, I made a turn down a one way street at night, where the hotel was located. I am not from the area, and didnt realize it was one way until I began to turn. I saw the sign and was able to safely pull into the vallet. The police officer on the corner intersection pulled behind me and asked if I had anything to drink. I had just had a glass at dinner. He put me through a field sobriety test, in which I complied and was able to complete each one easily. It didn't matter how I did, because they were going to arrest me anyway. They wrote so many thing in the report to try and justify the arrest, regarding my appearance and behavior. They were awful to me and I felt so helpless. They sent me to the Salinas county jail where I was put into a small, filthy cell, where the toilet is exposed to everyone there, and given no information about when I would be let out. I spent two days sitting there without sleep. I was desperate to have someone help me and prove that I was not deserving of this charge.
I first called a lawyer who seems popular in the Salinas area. He did nothing but talk about how great he was, and went on about off topic information, like cars, until telling me my case was hopeless and I'd probably go to jail. He didn't believe me or take the time to hear me. He said he wouldn't review the tapes from the holding facility, which I knew would help my case!
I was in such a deep depression over this and just needed someone to treat me fairly. Julie was so kind to me. She let me tell her every detail and didn't cut me off once. She took each phone call and answered every question. She honestly cares. I could feel it. She had so much compassion and did everything she could to collect evidence. After retrieving the video footage from the holding facility. She took the time to watch this lengthy tape, and said that it was exactly what we needed. Because I was taken directly to this facility after the arrest, we were able to disprove everything that the officer said about my demeanor and state of being. It was clear that I was not drunk.
She asked the District Attourney to watch it, and after review, he agreed.
They lowered my charge to a reckless. I accepted the charge to avoid going to trial and dragging out what makes me sick to think about--that night.
Julie will always have my respect and appreciation for her work to provide me justice. She is knowledgable and trustworthy. She even called me on the weekend from her cell phone to provide me information.
She is a great lawyer, but is also very grounded. She treats you as a priority.
I'd recommend her to anyone! You won't be sorry.

I had an old DUI case that I needed to deal with and so I called Julie and had a free consultation regarding my case. She was very thorough in looking at my case and determining the best action to take. From beginning to end, Julie was easy to talk to and when the day came to present my case to the judge, Julie was right by my side and the ending result was that my case was dismissed! I could not be happier and more grateful to Julie and her staff for taking such great care of me!

Julie helped me tremendously to straighten up my life after a second DUI and controlled substance charge. Julie's hard work resulted in an incredibly positive outcome for my case. She was able to mitigate my DUI to a wet and reckless and get the possession offense removed entirely from my record. Most importantly, Julie granted me the peace of mind I needed in order to move forward with my life in a more positive direction. I would highly recommend Julie Crawford to anyone in need of an excellent defense attorney.

So far, it has been an initial consultation. I was very impressed with our conversation about my situation. Ms. Crawford was very knowledgeable and very helpful during our conversation. I had spoken with a couple of other attorneys on multiple occasions in the past and by far, Ms. Crawford was the most helpful. I received excellent information and advice. Ms. Crawford was very quick to respond to my email and phone calls. I look forward to speaking with Ms. Crawford again soon.

Julie recently helped me get my felony DUI reduced to a misdemeanor. She is knowledgeable & experienced, down to earth, & has a very comforting presence. In contrast to my first lawyer, I felt very much in capable hands with Julie. I would & have highly recommended her to others.

Julie fought for me to give me a second chance after I thought my life was ruined. I was really nervous and depressed about all the costs of getting a DUI. It was then I looked for and found Julie Crawford, a DUI attorney in the Monterey area who was experienced and renown in getting DUI sentences and fines reduced. I was able to breathe again after finding out I only needed to do 1 month of community service and license was only suspended for 90 days. She's worth every penny.
