I was sent one of those seemingly harmless letters from the CA FTB last year seeking information on a 4 year old tax return. After trying to communicate with the FTB, I was sent a demand letter for nearly $37K in taxes! I did not believe I had done anything wrong, yet I knew I needed someone who could cut through the bureaucracy of the CA FTB to help tell my story. After 6 months of working with the FTB, Mr. Layton presented my case in a thorough and professional manner. Eventually, the FTB agreed to a settlement that was for a tiny fraction of their initial $37K ask. Mr. Layton provided outstanding guidance to me regarding my case, the appeal process, and all the steps in between. I am very happy with the outcome of my case. And I am especially thankful for the great care for my case that Mr. Layton exhibited. It was a relief knowing I had a knowledgeable tax attorney representing my interest against the CA FTB.
