I always thought short/long term disability benefits through my reputable employers were there to protect me. What I never expected was to be trapped in a new job that was so toxic that physically, mentally, and emotionally drained me through my 10 months of employment. I tried both short term disability & workers comp but these processes are intentionally very complicated and despite being highly educated, I found it very hard to maneuver the systems on my own. One month went by, and both my employer and my physician failed me (they denied workers comp claim b/c my physician carelessly completed his assessments and simply give insurance company an opportunity to claim that I am heathy after all). On top of that, the attorney search was not going anywhere when I was contacting big firms. I was always sent to their voicemails or put on hold or even sent to new attorneys without my knowledge/approval. No body cared to hear my story. A lot of them did not show any confidence or simply walked away as soon as they realized it is not a money making case for them (psychiatric cases are hard to fight).

Back in January of 2019, I was in my first and hopefully last car accident, that completely changed my life!
