Cyrus is really the best Lawyer I have ever hired. I was terminated Feb 2020. My EDD claim was approved after my phone interview with them. Mid April 2020, my employer appealed the claim with no consideration and no mercy during the though Covid-19 times and Job market extreme difficulties. I called Cyrus, after 5 min he called me back. Explained to me in details what will happen in the hearing. I signed his retainer which was crystal clear and very straight forward, No hidden fees. He spent a good bit of time with me on the phone the day before the hearing covering all finest details about my employment history. On the hearing day, my employer counsel backed out and did not participate, knowing that I have my Lawyer Cyrus representing me. Case dismissed. But it was not the end of my misery. My employer reopened the case. Cyrus honored his representation at No extra charge. Prepared one more time and even in more finest details for the second time. On the new hearing date, he was very thorough with every question he asked me and the employer and made my employer look unjust and unfair in their explanations. Victory, Judge ruled the case and decision was "Affirmed". I am really running out of words to thank Cyrus for his great and thorough process and work. I was recently terminated from Chase bank and initially approved for unemployment benefits. To nobody's surprise, Chase appealed the decision. I was scared to death that they would reverse the EDD's decision and I'd be left with no income. I reached out to a couple of lawyers, and Cyrus responded promptly. Immediately he made me feel at ease. Upon hearing the facts of my case, he let me know that my case was strong under the UI Code. He advised me to request a copy of my file (which I never would've known I could do) so that we could prep for my hearing. I decided to retain him at this point. The fee was reasonable, $600... the best $600 I've ever spent! We met at his office the day before my hearing to go over the facts again. I was a nervous wreck but he assured me that I just needed to be calm and present the facts as I did to him over the phone. During the prep meeting, he began to explain to me how the hearing would go. It was at this moment that I knew I made the right decision. Cyrus is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He understands that the experience is nerve-racking and he does an excellent job of giving you confidence. Even on the day of the hearing, I was so nervous I hadn't slept. Cyrus noticed this and made efforts to calm me by getting to know me personally. During the hearing, things began to happen exactly how Cyrus said they would. It was like he saw the future! As this began to take shape, I became calmer and more confident in my case. The icing came when he began to question my former manager. His questions were very well thought out, to the point where I thought her answers basically made our case for us. By the time he began to question me I was confident that we had won. Once the Chase lawyer began to question me, I could tell he had not prepared (which Cyrus also predicted!) and our case was in the bag. The decision arrived and lo and behold, WE WON! We took on the "big dogs" and beat them! I had to let out a scream and do a dance to celebrate! Let me tell you, DO NOT go into the appeal hearing without Cyrus. The stakes are too high. You need someone who understands you, your case, and how it all fits with the ACTUAL law. I was so scared when they appealed that I almost just threw up my hands and just gave in. DO NOT GIVE UP! DO NOT go into that meeting without a lawyer. Call Cyrus so that he can help you fight for what's yours! I promise he will do wonders for you! Cyrus, I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me! I'm forever grateful for your services.
