John Bishop helped me pursue my dream of becoming a licensed physician in the state of California. Years ago I was stopped and cited for being in the possession of Marijuana. I plead PC1000 and my life came crashing down. But I still pursued my dream of becoming a doctor. I was an RN before medical school and the nursing board revoked my license for this charge. While I was finishing medical school I found John Bishop while scrolling the internet. My first two lawyers did not get me good results and my fears were so intense that never truly believed that I would get my PTAL. Mostly because the RN board in California already disciplined me. Mr Bishop charged me one fee with the promise to help me get my RN license back and ultimately get my PTAL so I can start residency. I have dealt with lawyers in the past and it was not pleasant. They wouldn't return my calls for days and when they did, every phone call was a fee or every week I gave more money. But John was different. He met with me face to face to discuss matters that I needed to address, he actually answered my phone calls or returned my calls promptly. You could tell that he had great experience with the board and gave me the right advice when I wasn't thinking rationally. Once I matched in my dream residency my PTAL was still in limbo. I was at my peak stress level and scared that my dream was about to be shattered. Mr Bishop took the liberty to contact my program director on my behalf and inform him of the situation I was in. He gave him weekly updates which everyone deeply appreciated. He calmed the situation down between all parties. He has a way with people and is very matter of fact. He actually cares about the well being of his clients and has a deep understanding for the fears that people not involved in law may have when going through these processes. His office staff is highly professional and helpful. I must have bothered them so much once I matched but they never were rude or sounded tired of my calls. John stuck to his word and had a GREAT rapport with the Medical Board of California. He urged me never to email my analyst even when I was dying to email them. I listened to every word he said and I GOT MY PTAL! It was the best feeling, I can't even describe it. I am so grateful for John Bishop and his office for helping me. Even though I know I was just another case, some how I felt like the ONLY case at times. Every one at the office knew me and I felt like they actually cared. I would highly recommend this gentlemen for anyone who is dealing with professional license issues. The system comes down hard on us professionals and often we are only given one chance. But Mr. Bishop gave me that second chance! Other lawyer may achieve good results but The office of Ray & Bishop are professional, compassionate and respect the feelings of their clients. After being involved in a Medicare scheme case with an old employer and getting a FEDERAL FELONY due to it I thought I would lose my nursing license for sure. After hearing stories and reading articles of how easy it is to lose your license in the state of CA I thought, "Ok if I get a felony then I've got to work like hell to keep my license" Of course when you start looking for a lawyer you want one with decades of experience and expertise. Well, don't let John's age or years of experience fool you. You'll think to yourself "What's 5 years compared to 20+ years?" But, he is very knowledgeable in his line of work and is very reasonable with his fees so you don't burn a hole in your pocket. (I've consulted with many other licensing lawyers and their fees were astronomical). In my case I was very fortunate since he mainly deals with healthcare and knows the ins and outs of the Nursing Boards. He knows what they want and expect from you as a licensee and the steps to keep and save your license. Throughout the whole process I just thought worst case scenario that I would lose it. But his calming demeanor and reassurance made me feel so much better. Of course he can never promise or guarantee things but with his expertise he will work with the boards to get the best outcome possible. With John's expertise he was able to get me 3 years probation and after I successfully complete that I will have a clear license. With a federal felony, what's a better outcome than that? I would wake up every morning stressed out thinking about how I would provide for my family since nursing is my livelihood. Now I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally breathe. Because of John I am able to keep doing what I love and keep my job. There isn't enough thank you's in the world for what he has done for me and my family. So thank you a million times John. I'll never forget what you've done for me. I'd also like to add, it wasn't hard at all for me to refer a fellow nurse to him..my outcome spoke for it all. That's how good he is. So if you're thinking about hiring him, don't second guess! Take my word for it, you won't regret it.

If you need a lawyer for your State license I highly recommend John. He can work miracles. I had a felony conviction and the state was trying to take my license away. I spoke to many attorneys before I called john and all of them told me I had no chance of keeping my license. Thank god I found John. I have dealt with attorneys before but John is the best in every way. He actually takes his time to talk to you unlike other attorneys where once they take your money rush you off the phone and don't answer your phone calls anymore. He is the most knowledgeable and professional attorney I have ever dealt with. there was two of us on the same felony case the other person got his license taken away by the state because he didn't hire John. Thank god I hired john and I got to keep my license. As long as I live I will never forget what John did for me. My life would have turned upside down and I would have lost my license which I have more then 16 years if it wasn't for John. The way he carries himself in the courtroom and the respect he gets is unbelievable.. So if you find yourself in a situation where you need to save your license and livelihood without a doubt hire John he will work miracles. The other guy that didn't hire John got lost his license is regretting every day. John I want to thank you again and wish you the best in life. I had to send an application to the state board before being able to sit for the esthetician exam and explain a conviction that occurred 10 years ago. It was a very difficult criminal case that started from a felony conviction to an expunged misdemeanor. There were jail time involved including multiple probation violations. Attorney Bishop helped me put together my application and I am so glad I went to see him ! He's an expert in what he does and he helped with some revisions in the short amount of time I had. Despite the severity of my case, he helped me get through it in a profession manner and in the best possible way. My application was approved with no notices required for additional information. I honestly don't believe I would have been approved without attorney bishops help!

The Dept of Insurance was trying to revoke my license and John Bishop saved me. He clearly explained the steps that we were going to take, explained the expectations and went to work. I really felt that he cared and the results showed. I highly recommend John Bishop.

Alright so the District's accusation was bogus and predatory but it was VERY VERY REAL. John walked me through the process and wrote me a letter that ended up with getting the investigation closed down with no adverse consequences to me at all. Don't go it alone folks get yourself a lawyer who specializes in license law and protect your huge financial and professional investment in your career.

John was an amazing lawyer for me. He helped me obtain a full/clear license with the department of Insurance after I was denied. He walked me through the process step by step and helped me understand what to expect and what needed to be done on my part. John is a great Attorney! He wrote a letter of explanation for me to send to the state BRN. It was impeccable, professional, and so clearly written. I would never be able to put together such a finely written letter. I would highly recommend him to anyone with licensing issues! Well worth the cost to save your license!
