Before working with Matthew Buttacavoli, I'd attempted to settle my divorce with a collaborative attorney. After 5 months with no temporary support in place my collaborative attorney directed me to hire a litigator. From my initial phone call and meeting with Matthew, it was clear that he understood the dynamics of working with high-conflict individuals. Matthew secured temporary support within 6 weeks. He exceeded the bleak prognostications of my first attorney who stated that since my spouse was at retirement age, when he stopped working I would no longer be able to collect spousal support. However, since my spouse had a significant retirement account to draw from Matthew was able to secure spousal support for me for 11 additional years until I reached age 65. I'd left the workforce to be a stay-at-home mom for 20 years and Matthew made sure that I was set up for success going forward. I'm very content with my settlement and incredibly grateful for Matthew's wise expertise that was desperately needed during the emotional rollercoaster of divorce. Helpful tip: One way to minimize billable hours is to email as many issues as possible rather than initiate conversations over the phone.

Michael May of Laguna Beach ]gave high praise to a referral Matthew Buttacavdi, I spoke with him on 9/1. He informed that the firm that the firm is no longer taking cases in LA due to extensive travel time which I assume would have to be billed to the client. Even though he couldn't take me on as a client he referred me to 5 attorneys in my area that the firm had prior experience or knowledge. He took an hour to give me some advice on how to look for a good family attorney, fees, etc. I found him to be extremely professional and would have retained him if I lived in Orange County. If you have a need for a family attorney, call him for a consult. I think you will be happythat yo did.

I cant say enough wonderful things about this firm. I personally worked with Johnathan Little who was not only available and got me an amazing settlement , but was caring. My case wasn't an easy one and he took the time to make sure I got everything I deserved. he made sure I had money while awaiting settlement and took care of the little things I would have never thought of. I was so scared going in to this process. I felt like it was a foreign language and everyone there took their time to explain things to me. I felt part of a family who was for me when a divorce can be so lonely. I have nothing but amazing things to say about them.

Matthew Buttacavoli provided superior service and dedicated work to help me through my divorce. His advice was always well-considered and valuable, and he was willing to explain his reasoning and the particulars of the law even when it was clear that the law had nothing to do with justice. His regular concern was to get to the best settlement possible without spending money that was just going to be for attorney's fees with no benefit to me. There were times I was not happy with his advice, but it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing, and that I would be much better off taking his advice, however little I liked hearing it. He is the kind of honest, ethical, decent, hard-working, dedicated attorney everyone needs.

Though I do not wish anyone to need the services of Minyard Morris, if you find yourself requiring a family law attorney I cannot recommend this firm more highly. I worked with Matthew Buttacavoli, I found him practical, caring, realistic and most importantly he focused on the children and their well being. He is exceptionally versed in family law, and has experience settling with several local attorneys, which helped to avoid a trial case. He is kind, caring, and quite funny, but is also firm, decisive, and your biggest defender if your situation requires. Again, highly recommend this firm!

Alexander C. Payne is an expert Family Law attorney with the Minyard Morris Law Firm that accepted me as his client, and finished my 2-year divorce litigation in less than 2 months.
