Araceli has a passion for her job! She is smart, extremely knowledgeable, assertive, and very experienced family law attorney. In addition to being a strong and skilled attorney she is kind, honest, and compassionate. All traits that make Araceli stand out from others and makes her an amazing attorney in a time that can be personally challenging or one of the most difficult time in one’s life… custody, divorce, etc. Araceli maintains her clients well informed on process and is very responsive to questions and follow-up on cases. She engages with her clients carefully assessing the case, applying the law objectively, and agreeing on next steps and strategy. She is a beast as a litigator – respectful and powerful in the court room. In the two occasions I had to participate in hearings in front of two different judges, both judges alluded to Araceli being a very good and knowledgeable lawyer. Other traits and skills that stood out for me is that Araceli graduated from a top tier law school, she is bilingual (English/Spanish), culturally sensitive, has a great personality, and is a wonderful storyteller. Bottomline: Araceli exceeded my expectations and won everything I hoped for in my family law case. She prepares her clients with complete transparency and realistic expectations. I feel safer knowing that Araceli will continue to represent me in any future family law issues. I highly recommend her.

I do not remember who recommended me to Lerma Law Offices about almost 10 years ago... at the time like any other person, I felt sad, lost, and confused with the whole family law case I had at hand. Araceli had the misfortune of representing me when I first believed that honesty was all you needed to protect a child in family court. She very gently but firmly explained the situation, and then fought with more passion than I've ever seen. This also tells me how much she both believed me, and understood the terrorist at the other side of the table. This is a CRUCIAL piece when hiring a family law attorney - if they don't believe you, and if they don't truly "get it," how can they fight for the best interest of your child(ren)?? They can't, but Araceli does.

Attorney Lerma and her staff provided exceptional service during one of the most difficult periods of my life. Her sage advice and practical approach to difficult situations is clearly the result of many years of experience. Although very cliché, she was the calm in the storm. There are many divorce services out there, but if you want someone who truly cares about you and your family's wellbeing, seriously consider her services. I've referred two close friends and they are extremely satisfied. One even terminated services with a prior attorney who was getting nowhere with his case and he has now seen great progress since switching. Mrs. Lerma works within your budget and will provide answers when things may appear hopeless. I am writing to share what a great experience I had working with attorney Araceli Lerma. After a failed attempt at mediation, a friend referred me to Araceli. After talking to her for five minutes, I knew I would hire her. I was not disappointed. She is incredibly knowledgeable about divorce law, and knows all the ins and outs of the LA Superior Court system. Most importantly, she is a true advocate for her client – she made sure I got a fair deal and protected me every step of the way throughout the settlement process. I found her to be an excellent negotiator. With her solution-oriented approach, she worked with me every step of the way to strategize and work toward finding common ground with the opposing attorney. She applies a friendly, non-threatening, congenial approach; however, she was not afraid to draw the line in the sand whenever necessary and stand her ground on her client’s behalf. I would give Araceli ten stars if I could. She made what could have been a horrible experience much more tolerable. My divorce was finalized (luckily) without any major complications, and I am pleased with the outcome. If anyone is going through a separation or divorce, they should talk to Araceli Lerma because: 1. Araceli is compassionate and respectful of all the emotions a client is going through. 2. Araceli has really reasonable rates for all the work she puts in. 3. Araceli took the time to explain all the filings, legalese and possible actions/outcomes very clearly. Things get complicated and the paperwork gets confusing, but Araceli took the time to make sure I understood everything and what my options were. 4. Araceli always had an amazingly quick response time, which is extremely important. She'll call or email you back right away. 5. Attention to detail. Araceli’s work is meticulous. I went to a paralegal first only to find that I should have listened to a friend that was being represented by Araceli and was trying to refer me to her. Once I made the change to Araceli; I was COMPLETELY satisfied with the entire experience. We all know child custody cases are not the most enjoyable to go through; but Araceli made it that much easier. She is definitely all about what is best for your child and for that I am thankful. I was able to receive sole legal and physical custody of my daughter and will always refer Araceli to anyone who needs a Family Law laywer.
