We negotiated the purchase of a San Francisco condo directly with the owner without the involvement of real estate agents. We then hired Elva to handle all of the official paperwork: writing up the purchase agreement, asking for required inspections and records checks, coordinating with the owner's representative, managing HOA issues, etc. Elva showed her professionalism before we'd even retained her services when she spoke with me at length on the phone, outlining the typical purchase process, what was included in her flat fee, and how long the process was likely to take. We thought it would be a relatively straightforward transaction, but not surprisingly there were some problems along the way. Throughout the entire process, Elva thoroughly explained our options and suggested ways to work around the problems. She was always easy to reach by telephone or email and kept us organized even as the paperwork piled up. There were no surprises at all in terms of her fees and even when we unexpectedly needed some documents that weren't part of the original agreement, she didn't add to our bill. Our experience with Elva demonstrated that she is a reliable, trustworthy person and a very well-informed attorney. I highly recommend hiring Elva to handle any real estate issue one might have in San Francisco.
