I've worked with many lawyers in my career so I consider myself well calibrated on who is great and who isn't. Katie is great. She helped me through a very complicated set of issues to protect my estate and assets. She had a deep answer for every question I asked along with suggestions on approaches I could take to manage my risks. All all in easy to understand language. Even better, Katie is a great human. She is empathetic and thinks about the whole person and all people involved in family law proceedings. For these topics that are very difficult I found Katie to be super comforting. My highest recommendation.

I hired Katie after having a not so pleasant experience with another lawyer, who I felt failed me. I needed her at the very moment COVID lockdowns began and no one was returning my calls or emails. I was panicking as a result of my narc x who had made false reports to CPS against me. Katie's staff called me back almost immediately. And the rest is history. I cannot even begin to explain the care, empathy, and diligence this woman carries. I was coming out of an 11yr emotionally abusive relationship with an X who was misusing local authorities as a weapon against me. Katie talked me through everything with the utmost care and compassion. She's super easy to talk to, efficient, prompt!, bold, and simply kind overall. I can't imagine going through any of that without her. And I have no words to express how grateful I am to her and her team. I just hope they continue doing the amazing work that they do so that others out there like me can continue to benefit. It's hard NOT to feel how genuine and passionate they are. I absolutely can't thank them enough. Also!... Katie is a mother herself, so you KNOW she means business!

I couldn't have asked for a better attorney during my custody dispute. Katie was extremely competent, efficient, communicative, and caring. She made sure I knew all my choices and the possible outcomes of those choices. She helped guide me through communication with a hostile second party and I always felt supported. I hired Katie to draft our prenuptial agreement. I could not be happier with the result! This was absolutely the best decision we could have made for our prenup. I had to divorce another party who had a personality disorder and made the divorce process incredibly difficult. She was able to navigate this territory very well and advised me when to act and when to let things go. In the end, I was able to get a fair settlement despite the difficulties with the other party.

By hiring Katie - I was able to obtain a restraining order (which was previously denied when I used the county’s self help center) With her representation, we were able to obtain court ordered drug testing, a support order, supervised visitation, and eventually due to the case’s circumstances, I was awarded sole custody. Katie’s communication was amazing. She held herself with the utmost professionalism at all times, while still being so relatable. I noticed our judge and other lawyers would get into disputes regarding information or responses, but not with Katie. There seemed to be a mutual understanding due to her extensive knowledge, she really knows the ins and outs, and it shows. I consulted Ms. Padilla after my case hearing, because I was not satisfied with the final hearing decision under a different lawyer I had hired. She listened and responded independently, objectively, and strategically to my concerns and inquiries regarding my case. She is a rising star - and will fight vigorously for your case - that I believe. I wish I had hired her initially but could not due to timing issues. Although I plan to use her for future events related to the same case. In conclusion, she is a modern lawyer who understands contemporary culture, habits, styles and more importantly the law.
