I seldom do reviews but this was a must. This attorney is beyond comparison! Having been married nearly twenty one years, I was not at all familiar with divorce. It was devastating when my then husband served me with a divorce petition without even mentioning that he was unhappy. Unemployed and in financial distress, weakened by poor health and profoundly saddened by my ex husbands sudden decision to end our marriage, Allison (she makes you comfortable being on a first name basis with her) came to my aid. Allison's strong ability to keep me focused on what was important rather than emotional got me through this most desperate time of my life. Her attention to detail made me keenly aware of what a divorcing partner will attempt to avoid a spousal support order. It would have been very easy to just walk away from it all and not deal with the legal aspects of this divorce. Allison made me clearly understand the reality of what would happen to me financially if I did not come to terms with what I was facing. Her knowledge of family law is amazing in that she always knew the answer for the many questions I had. I was in a custody/domestic violence case. I can't put into words what Allison did for me and my child. Every court date we went to we won and then some. Allison is professional, thorough, sympathetic, and understanding. Being a man, I feared that the court would side with the mother, but Allison's actions, proved otherwise. I called Allison one week before finalizing my divorce to review court documents. I had completed all of the documents on my own through the court's self-help desk and wanted a "real" lawyer to look over my paperwork to present in court. Allison was a life-saver!
