I gave Julia a 5 star review in 2012 after she stepped in and corrected the many errors in my parents’ estate plan that resulted from one of the “free lunch” seminars that are held in the desert. She has continued to provide 5 star service every step of the way...from my mother’s death, property sales, a remarriage, and finally wrapping up my parents’ estate after my father’s death. Julia’s extensive expertise in the law, taxes and real estate means you don’t need to involve multiple professionals—she can deal with just about any issue that comes up in a professional and timely manner. My only regret is I no longer live in California, so I must find a new attorney. They will have big shoes to fill!

After listening to Julia speak at our Women's Financial Boot Camp regarding estate planning, wills, probate, etc. I knew she was the attorney I wanted in the planning of our estate. All the way through the process, she delivered everything she promised and took my fear and dread out of the ordeal. Julia assisted my sister and I with our fathers probate down in California. We had previously been working with another attorney that literally did nothing for us. He dragged his feet and never even so much as present simple paperwork to the courts after 6 months of employing him as our representation. We promptly parted ways with that attorney and were directed to Julia. I can tell you that the work she did for us was a breath of fresh air. She was extremely prompt in all of her responses and thorough in her communication. She went to bat for us in court to try to get things sped along as the previous attorney had left us in a tight bind and delayed the probate closing by 6 months. We where referred to Julia Burt by my Father's Financial Advisor after my Father suddenly passed. She was extremely helpful in sorting out my Father's affairs and his Trust. Not only was she wonderful in helping with The Family Trust, she was able to advise us on all Property Sales and Tax Ramifications. My Husband & I also used her to set up our Family Trust. JULIA became our estate planning lawyer after we had done a fairly wide search of prospects. We found her to be knowledgeable, and solicitous and supportive of our needs. She preformed her services promptly, and efficiently, and her cost were fair and reasonable - a plus when looking for legal services in the desert. The extra benefit of having Julia as your legal advisor is her "user friendly" approach to serving her clients. This was particularly helpful to my wife who is less familiar with legal needs and procedures. She also is a CPA and, while we have not had a need for this service, it is nice to have it available as the need arises.

My parents thought they had a thorough and properly prepared family estate plan--they certainly paid for one. Because of my mother's poor health, I reviewed all of their estate planning and trust documents...and unfortunately found a number of errors and oversights. A retired banker friend provided an enthusiastic recommendation of Julia Burt. Julia exceeded our expectations. Julia met with us and reviewed all of the documents. She corrected errors, and redid items as necessary to ensure that my parents' wishes will be honored. She streamlined one 88 page trust document into an 18 page document that was clearer and more precise. She even took everything to their house on a Saturday for signing so my mom didn't have to go to the office. All of this was done in a timely manner to accommodate my mother's health and my travel to Palm Desert. Julia's card says she is an attorney and C.P.A. She is also a real estate broker and notary. It was a pleasure to do business with an attorney that undersells her expertise, and over-delivers her services. It is also a relief to find an attorney we can count on to be responsive to our needs. Julia reviewed many years and pages of past will, trust and estate planning documents and consolidated them into a concise and current portfolio. She was extremely thorough and detailed. I first came to Julia in trying circumstances: I was seeking help with a sticky probate matter following the death of an immediate family member, and I had recently moved to the Coachella Valley so had no attorney in the local area.
