Absolutely the worst attorney she would never answer any of my questions, nor would she call me to let me know the results of court appearances she made on my behalf. When I would meet her before a court appearance she would scream at me and put me down, making the judge wait until she was done yelling at me. DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN!! Claudia was so focused on making me feel horrible, had she put that energy into my case she might have had better results. When she realized that the judge didn’t like her she quit on me. Claudia should not be an attorney. I know lawyers that have worked with her and they would say she was tough they would all say the witch just flew in on her broom stick when she would show up to court. I can’t recommend her so please run the other way and do not retain her she will gladly take your money but in return won’t communicate with you on any concerns you might have.

Very smart women knows the law. She will not tell you what you want to hear, but more importantly what you need to hear. She has been practicing family law for over 30 years. She knows her way around family law. There is no case she hasn’t already dealt with. Good in the courtroom and will fight for you.

Claudia Weaver is an expert at the law. You bring her the facts and she will do everything to fight for you. She is a well organized attorney. She is dedicated to her clients and moves swiftly when necessary to get your case heard at the right time. Her staff is very patient and kind and correspondence with her office is excellent. I feel confident that she uses every legal avenue to win my case. If you have a complex family law case, I highly recommend Claudia Weaver. If you're looking for a smart attorney, who is an expert in family law, tough in the courtroom and at the same time respectful, Claudia is the best choice.

During the course of my 6 year family law matter, I’ve had multiple attorneys that pretended to care about my case, but were only in it for money. They prolonged my case intentionally to rack up billable hours. I wish I would have hired Claudia from the very beginning. She is an amazing attorney! I would recommend Claudia Weaver to someone that makes 40 thousand a year or 4 million a year, because I believe she would fight for them the same way she fought for me.

Although I had retained and fully paid for a local criminal attorney that has a very good reputation to handle my case, at the last minute (literally) I chose to have Attorney Angelo Campano to handle my case and I am very glad that I did. It's not just that he won my case. He is an attorney for my family and we fully trust him. He was most diligent in inverstigating each and every lead and building a succesful defense where I would have thought not possible. He is the best and he really cares and keeps you informed ech step of the way. As a retired alarm company President and C.E.O. I personally reccomend Angelo Campano as your Attorney because he has proven to be the best and he is a pleasure to work with. Chosing anyone else would be short changing yourself. Don't do what I did, just hire him first . Get on the right start from the beginning.

I hired Mr. Wallin to handle a very important matter. He came highly recommended and the recommendation was correct! He has over 30 years in practice, including time as a prosecuting attorney. All the DA's and judges know him and respect him. That is just who you want reprenting you. He was thoroughly prepared, had spoken to the DA in advance and my case took all of ten minutes for the judge to follow the recommendation of the DA and find in my favor. Mr. Wallin is very personable and knowledgeable. Just what you want in an attorney!

After talking to numerous lawyers, I hired Mr. Wallin to represent my son. I am so glad that I did. He thoroughly listened to our case and understand our difficult position. He was up front and honest about the possibilities we faced. I am happy to say that his firm and Alfred G. were successful in getting 2 charges dismissed and the 3rd one reduced. I worked with Jenni the paralegal who was also very professional and kind. Both Jenni and Alfred always promptly returned emails and phone calls and helped us through this trying time. Kudos to Mr. Wallin office - I cannot thank you enough!!

Recently, I hired Carlton Weeks law office to file eviction law sue against my tenant for none payment. The case went four days jury trial, the jury took less than 40 minutes to reach the unanimous verdict. Rikka J. Fountain is excellent attorney. She goes above and beyond to help me to win the case. She is very knowledgeable with good strategies. She spent a lot of time to gather all the details, contacted the witness I provided, and had many discussion with me about how to present the case to the jury, including opening statement, testimony, cross examination, rebuttal exam, and closing argument. She prepared me well to be on the witness stand. She was able to convince the jury that I am a very good landlord and win case 100% I could not ask more and better attorney than Rikka. I highly recommend this law firm, especially Rikka J Fountain to the landlords or property managers, the eviction needs to be filed definitely they are best choice.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Palmdale, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
