Wow...wow...wow!!! Simon Aval is a 10 star not a five star. Simon has handled my brothers case not once but twice for the same possession with priors. Simon is an attorney who is dedicated to his clients and his clients families. He does not sympathize with one because of the circumstances, he takes it personally as if it was one of his loved ones incarcerated. Simon has passion and loves what he does and has proven it to our family twice. A conviction that should have been 12-20 years due to priors and was looking at a strike, was sentenced to four years with half, county time, and no strike. I was recommended to Attorney Simon Aval by another Attorney. That goes to show the confidence that People have in Mr. Aval when somebody who studies law themselves recommends you to a certain individual. My brother was arrested and incarcerated on six felony counts. Three counts that carried a max of 8 year each one and three counts that carried LIFE SENTENCES. My family was devastated they could not live with the fact that they would have to see my brother in prison for life. We contacted Mr. Aval and immediately set up an appointment. Once we sat down with him and discussed my brothers case and seen what my brother would be facing if convicted on all six charges. Mr.Aval was very considerate and understood the emotional state of mind my family and I were in. We immediately hired him on the spot he worked with us in every possible way that would not pile any more stress than we were already going thru. He fought for my brother and was present at all courts and visited my brother to get further info from him when needed. Anytime he got new information he would contact me and keep my family and I very informed as the case went on. Mr.Aval ended up eliminating all 3 life sentence counts plus 2 counts that carried a sentence of 8 years max each. My brother ended up getting charged with 1 count and was sentenced to 8 years in prison with 85% time needing to be served. My brother will be out and in 5-6 years counting the time he was serving during his case was going on 5-6 years was definitely something the family and I are able to live with despite the fact that he was possibly going away for LIFE in prison. Upon my arrest I had a total of 30 charges. One of them carrying a life sentence. Mr. Aval is not only professional and obviously knowledgable in Criminal Law, and brilliant in the courtroom - he's the real deal. As my defense attorney, I referred to him as my "Dream Team". This is the guy you want sitting next to you at the defense table. I would not be free if it were not for this man. I'm not one to write reviews, but when going through such a life altering experience, you want to make sure you have the best in the business, and in my case he is it. Choosing a lawyer isn't like picking out what pair of socks you'll wear. This is serious, which is why I am posting a review. He communicated well and in a timely manner with my family and made sure all matters were addressed. I am so grateful to this man. Plus, he's easy on the eyes. Amazing. Simply amazing.
