I highly recommend this firm, as I am a very detail-oriented professional, and can say that Varela Law Firm along with all their team members exceeded my expectations by far. My husband and I had the best experience, Alex is very knowledgeable, professional, patient, genuinely kind, and super smart! I had so many questions and through multiple team members, I received a response for every single question. In addition, we learned about adult adoption through the firm and are now pursuing that direction through our family, it was just a win-win situation all around. It was nice to meet with someone multiple times, this helped us understand the process and complete it thoroughly. We look forward to future meetings, as the firm schedules this to review the estate plan and to see if any further updates or changes are needed. I had an excellent experience working with Varela Law on updating an older version of my Trust. From the original ease of setting up my first appointment to the final signing, Alex and her team reached out to me often answering any questions I might have. Great follow-up and help in updating all the necessary documents for the Trust. I really appreciated Alex's hands-on effort when discussing my concerns and incorporating my requests into the Trust. Our interest was to creat a family living trust and interviewed several attorneys. Speaking with Alex made our decision easy as she answered all our questions, was very thorough and even provided us with a list of items to review and take into consideration that would help us with creating our trust, Al this prior to us hiring her. We knew she was the best qualified for us. Alex is honest and upfront and extremely knowledgeable with law, extenuating circumstances that may arise or apply with special circumstances. Alex and her staff are readily available and provide quick response and resolution to questions. Our family is extremely satisfied and so glad we hired Alex. My wife and I always knew we needed to set up a trust for our family of 5. Pandemic has delayed this process but finally at the end of 2021 we started looking for an attorney to work with. Alex's office was able to set up a Zoom meeting so we didn't have to go into the office since we had young children at home. The initial meeting was very pleasant and lasted about an hour because Alex took the time to explain all aspects of trust. Even though I had done research previously and knew more or less what we needed, I still learned a lot from Alex that day. Right away we decided to go with Alex simply because of how she conducted herself during our initial meeting. Fast forward 9 months later, we finally completed our trust. The process did not take long because Alex took a long time, the process took long because we were meticulous about every detail of properly funding the trust and I had to reschedule once because we weren't ready with all the documentation changes we had to make. I told myself: "What's the point of spending the time and money to set up a trust if it wasn't going to be 100% effective?" I understand nothing is perfect but to the best of my ability I want to make this document as solid as possible so whoever needs to look after our children and asset know exactly what we expect. I had many questions when going through documentation changes and my email to Alex was always responded very promptly. In total we had over 50 accounts of various categories that needed to be reviewed, and Alex went through them with great attention in details. In the end we are very glad we chose Alex's office with this important task. There are many estate planning options out there including ones that you can DIY which we also did consider. However with Alex you can count on her personal experience and expertise which is something you are not able to get online. Without question, we trusted Alex to guide us through our estate planning and family legacy and have never looked back. What on the outside looked ominous and overwhelming, ended up being a labor of love. With Alex’s help, our assets and legacy have been carefully and thoughtfully tucked into our family’s little red wagon ready to make a clean transition to our loved ones. No probate here! On a separate note, Alex has a special spot in her heart reserved for all children as she advocates for them through her professional and philanthropic endeavors. This is the kind of person we wanted in our corner. Alex treated us like family from Day 1, and that was why we chose her to be a part of ours.

Her prices are very reasonable and it doesn't just stop at the one service you pay for. She goes above and beyond after the service has been done to provide you with ongoing support for any questions you might have or clarifications you might need without nickel and diming you for every question, like many attorneys do. Additionally, she has helped with providing recommendations and referrals for CPA's, financial planners, and even other attorneys that specialize in other areas of the law like business planning. I just can't say enough positive things about Alex Varela and her team! I would highly recommend them for estate planning. You will not be disappointed. :)
